After arriving I found the presidents circle isle full of Altima's and Malibu's. I asked for something better and was given a new 2018 Volvo S90 with less than 1K miles on it.

Nice ride, but unfortunately I really needed the extra space of a standard SUV so I ended up swapping at an HLE for a Pathfinder.

Always done well with upgrades at BLQ. The staff there are really friendly, and clearly know things about cars (well, this is Italy), so we had quite a conversation about my cars (I have a Ghibli, and they even knew that the diesel engine was upgraded in power a few months back, as they asked which version I had).
The Stelvio was excellent - roomy, nicely finished, good to drive, and, well, it is an Alfa. They've got plenty of them, though they are proving very popular.
They've also got lots of Giulia on fleet there now - including the Veloce version. Guess what I want next time I go there!

PC for many years. Typically book C, Q4, or right into a specialty class. Not surprised on the latter but on the first two it's been less than exciting. I would be more forgiving if I didn't constantly find Hertz unable to fulfill "reserve this exact model" resos.

Of note, while LAX has switched to Ultimate Choice (from which I've previously selected both a Q50 and a Rogue), Hertz had preassigned me this car (ie: an actual space number was listed on the board). So this may count as my first ever real upgrade at LAX :P

I take a trip to LAS about once a month. PC reserving (F). Always get the PC section always seems to be good selection of cars in Ultimate choice. Mercedes, Infiniti's, Chysler 300, Ford and Chevy convertibles. All seem to be CA played.
What does people do rent car in LA, drive to vegas, blow their money, then have to take bus back? lol
