Aside from the better deal at Atlantis (Platinum members only get 2 free nights), can someone convince me why TR Diamond is worth $295, let alone $595?
From what I have seen, TR status has absolutely no bearing on room comp offers.
I don't gamble a lot over the course of a year but I do heavily concentrate my TR gambling across a small number of days. As a Platinum low-roller who primarily bets horses and sports and plays just a bit of live poker and slots, I never have any problem getting a comped room in LAS for 4-5 nights over March Madness. I have a Diamond friend who always seems to get inferior offers though he plays much more in total over the course of a year.

$100 celebration dinner.
Cut in line for restaurants, I use this a lot especially for Gordon Ramsay's Burgr.
Access to Diamond Lounges.
Two free show tickets PER MONTH. This is huge a some of those shows are 40-140 per ticket.

AFAIK, all 1 year $295 offers are + $95 initiation fee.
But, sticking with the idea of Caesars Diamond. The $100 dinner off the top already is a pretty decent "give back." The second biggest deal is NO resort fees for those who get comp rooms already. Since that makes COMP ROOMS truly COMP.
The people who have benefited most, in my opinion, are those that are Total Rewards Platinum but do NOT want to allocate the additional play to become Diamond. They (as Platinum) already visit the properties often, get comp rooms... often the play from Platinum ===> Diamond can be costly (and sometimes, it isn't)... so, it's a low risk way of playing at your level (i.e. reaching Platinum) and getting the additional benefits ($100 dinner, no resort fees, Las Vegas lounge access, priority check-in, priority cab line, free valet and parking in Atlantic City, free shows in Vegas etc...).
For one who DOES NOT regularly stay and play at Caesars Entertainment properties, probably not very valuable. Unless, of course, there are other benefits of FoundersCard one finds valuable in addition to Caesars Diamond.

Let's look at the numbers. If you visit Vegas once a year for three nights, as Diamond over Platinum you'd save ~$90 on resort fees, $100 celebration dinner, plus one free show ticket (Platinum gets buy 1 get 1, versus two free for Diamond) at around $90. That's $280 right there. If you avoid buying a meal or drinks by visiting the lounge, or stay 4 nights, or make more than one trip in a year, you could easily be in the black without considering any of the other benefits of Founders Card.
But there's other non-monetary benefits. In Vegas, Platinums get to skip the lines at restaurants, but outside of Vegas that is rare. Also, being able to skip the taxi line can sometime save tons of time. Being able to use the valet when they're "full" is very handy. And this is purely speculative, but I suspect I get better room assignments from VIP check-in than the front desk.

I agree 100%. But, of course, if one is only visiting a Caesars Entertainment property 1x or 2x per year, has no use for the other FoundersCard benefits... it might be a wash or not worth their trouble.

I've been on the fence about this deal for awhile but with new 4 night stay at Atlantis for Total Rewards Diamond members I think I'm ready to sign up. I see some deal talk about offers that expired the end of May. Is $295 +$95 fee for the 1st year the best deal going right now?

$395 (no initiation fee) - 1 year
$295 + $95 initiation fee - 1 year
$295 x 2 (prepaid) (no initiation fee) - 2 year

Last day for $295 offer - I would love to get some approved sign ups on my account.
While I'm aware thread is about Diamond Status - keep in mind for many people that $295 gets you into many other status levels some of us could never obtain otherwise.
I won't go into the long list - but at that rate - best value for money I've seen in a long time.
Many gamblers throw away $300 on worse odds.

If you visit 2x/year or 1x for a week or more
And you stay at CET properties--TOTALLY WORTH IT.
DH & I go 2-4x/yr from 4-7 nts/visit. By play we are GOLD members. ($250/person/day--poker tourneys, some sports bets, .25 VP--mostly CET properties, but definitely not always)
We are nearly always comped 5 nights at CET property of our choice. If we stay 7 days, we usually drum up 2 nights at another property.
I got Founders Card. I have 2-7 day trips this summer.
--Resort fees: about $30/nt comped. That saves over $200/trip.
--$100 annual diamond dinner.
--2 free show tickets/ calendar month--and both trips are over the end of one month/beginning of another so we get FOUR free. NOW after doing this 2 summers, we honestly have about seen/done all the options...so this reward is almost nothing now.
--Diamond line privileges/Diamond check in
--Diamond lounges: we eat larger at lunch, so like a light "dinner" at a diamond lounge sometimes. Paris & Caesars are quite nice. Hit Rio during the day & it had windows; would like to see their hot food choices. Harrahs has real meal choices, as opposed to fairly repetitive snacks. Won't go back to Flamingo. PH is just OK. One day when I had a BAD gambling day, it was nice to go & get a nice drink & not have to pay $15 or gamble anymore to get it.
Also gets me free drinks all the time at our local casino--and that diamond lounge is open for lunch & dinner every day! (tho food is nothing to write home about; it is nice to pop in for a couple free drinks before a real dinner or gaming evening)
If you go to Vegas 7 nights/year & don't use show tickets you are at a break even--$210 for resort fees/$100 diamond dinner. The rest is gravy. To me those are the 2 most valuable benefits.

Did you email them directly to get diamond status after you redeemed the benefit?
I am hoping mine gets updated by next week.... spending 7 nights in Vegas and waiving resort fees was the main reason for the card .

Don't forget that if you become diamond while you are staying at a Caesars property, I am sure they will honor your request to remove resort fees at checkout.
