OTOH, formally introducing a super tier means agreeing on a alliance wide set of recognitions. I see several caveats. For one, it may make the level feel less exclusive and/or affect loyalty. (If you are super-duper status with airline X, you're super-duper loyal to airline X. But if airline Y starts to treat you like an emperor, despite zero loyalty to them, that might effect your perception in a way airline X doesn't want)
Also, oneWorld already today have issues with alliance wide reciprocity. We all know about some airlines' stingy approach to lounge access ("Finnair member? Sorry the lounge is full") and the non-consistency about seat selection and additional bag depending on fare branding. To me it looks like OW is not going in a direction of more integration but instead are hollowing out what is already agreed upon.

Moderator note
One of your regular forum posters suggested that several recent posts about OW lounge access in the network for Finnair flyers be moved to an active thread in this forum about that topic:

Lucky you. They have been working until midnight for several months, but the truth is they have other duties, too - and apparently Lumo rides are not the priority. As a result, I've passed parked BMWs many times standing on the bus with the main crowd.

my hit rate is about 3/10 so far.
well and yesterday I got a very awkward treatment, I was sat during boarding with my earplugs and pretended low-key and FA came insistively seeking connection and blabbered a long Lumo sweetytalk while I saw in the corner of my eyes all watching ”who is that guy” oh well

I did not talk with her but overheard FA ensuring her connection was okay.

Haha. I am flying OUL-HEL-TMP next week. I debated about taking the train until I realized that I would have to pay for my salad and also wouldn’t earn points. Why travel if you can’t earn points? Especially when I am closing in on LT Plat.

And, she sat 1D and was quick to vanish to gate areas so she knew how to move
EDIT: and congrats for LT plat! I would do the same as you if I was close but the stupid AY LT limits keep me just on 1M points even though I have been extensively flying for 20y.
