I flew HEL-ARN in February and got a free mini-bottle of champagne in Y (I'm OWE). On ARN-HEL, my seatmate got the same benefit (as an AY plat) but I declined.

Maybe it was only a question for me, but I didn't know if the free drink platinum perk would be applicable for long-haul flights, too. On my recent flight to JFK, during the outbound leg I was in Y, so I asked the FA, who was also the chief of the economy cabin.

She confirmed, that a free champagne (or any other drink of your choice) is available for free for platinum customers!

For my tomorrow flight the seat next to me is blocked, emergency exit.
When I checked yesterday (before OLCI), seat was not blocked.

My experience as well, as said before, no blocks before OLCI is open.

Just as an update: I tried this again on HEL-ARN yesterday evening and didn't succeed. The FA told me that as it's such a short flight, no champagne is available as a plat benefit.

No drinks are available as a benefit unless SkyBistro concept (=products are sold) is used.

This is what I told here a few messages ago, however it seems that it is inconsistent.

I've been lucky a few times, but as I do this route quite often, I've grown tired of having this discussion with the FA. I now focus on my needs pre- (and post) flight.

Seems I'm missing out on a lot of offers these days! Guess Platinum isn't loyal enough.

Platinum was never enough. Have never received any of the christmas gifts either so they have a lot of more differentiating factors than just tiers.

Freshman platinum, so no surprise that I haven't received this one... It would have been nice though
