The terminal was apparently nick-named "the reclining highrise". Nothing left of this building now, situated somewhere near current gate 32.

No Anssi, but other than that, the difference is minor. If you are a non frequent flyer, you probably wouldn't notice that it has changed since your flight a year ago to Rhodes...

Both me and my girlfriend got upgraded to business since my girlfriend's seat was canceled to to system error. In the future I will do my best to reproduce the error. System bugs = free upgrades.
The poor girl at the gate was calling her manager in panic "Her seat was canceled to due system error, but she is traveling with a platinum/emerald member. What should I do?".
Gotta love the JAL staff at Narita.
