I'd be happy to take a 17 EUR voucher any day instead of the Schengen-Zoo.

I am not sure how often you visited the Schengen lounge after 9pm, it is quite peaceful there. Not at all comparable with what you can experience in the morning or afternoon.

My thought goes further: first you close the lounge early temporarily, hand out vouchers to those who have enough time. And then you might close early permanently because of a lack of demand, no vouchers needed anymore. And you can claim that this is due to customer demand.

Actually I've managed to avoid the most crowded times quite successfully. That's not my main concern. The "food" is. I'd rather buy 17 EUR worth of food from Alepa courtesy of AY.

I recieved today email thanking me participating in the survey last month.
Also was included this bit:

As validated by the survey, we understand that crowding and food offering are currently the biggest pain points in the Schengen lounge. We appreciate your patience and understanding at this time as we continue to develop our lounge offering in the future.

Regarding the dishes…wow wow, I took a round in the whole lounge and I have never ever ever seen such huuuuge piles(yes, not plates but PILES) of dishes on almost EVERY table at 8:30pm ish. Lounge was very quiet by that time, so it seems there had been quite somw ryysing folks emptying the taps and enjoying the veggivomits etc, and far too little personnel.

Asked today at the Schengen lounge about Lumo access. Still possible regardless of airline.

There is a sign now in the Schengen lounge with new opening hours:
Wed-Fri 5:30-23:30
Sat-Tue 5:30-21:30

The sign claims that the hours are valid until 17NOV. Let’s see…

It seems that some pax actually like the stuff they offer at the lounge. A lady in her fifties asked the dragon if the lasagne is vegetarian and said that the vegetarian food in the lounge is so good that the chefs should open a vegetarian restaurant. There was no irony in her voice. I would have liked to intervene, but kept quiet…

TBH, that vege lasagne is not bad. While I prefer more meaty stuff, the lasagne is okay. Whereas that rice whatever combo is horrible and been there for months.

I tried the lasagne. For the first time. It was completely tasteless.
