Current and historical promotions

This is a thread for reporting details of promotions in the Finnair+ program.

The purpose of the wiki is to keep a repository of current and historical promotions. This works best if all details are given in a post of the thread. Once such a post is made, edit the wiki and add a short description of promo in headline-style, with a link to the post that holds the detailed information. (You can create such a link by right-clicking the post-number and copy link location).
Do not link to the promo itself from the Wiki, as the promo page is likely to disappear once the promo ended and such link will die, leaving the wiki sans historical info.

Feel free to discuss alterations to the format in the thread below.

Do not delete historical posts.

In principle I like Stockmann's offer. But doing the math may be worth it.
The Stockmann card now earns 1000 AY+ points for 500€, 666,67€, or 1000 € spend depending on the Stockmann membership tier.
For comparison, to buy AY+ points for money, the price for 1000 points is 12,50€ from the AY web site.
As an alternative to Stockmann, one could shop e.g. at the S-group stores. For a spend of 1000 € one would earn S-bonus in the amount of up to 5% (depending on the monthly spend patterns and which S-group store one has his/her membership at). As long as the average S-bonus yield is more than 1,25% (Stockmann Basic tier) / 1,87% (Exclusive tier) / 2,5% (First tier), it is more favorable to do purchases in the S-group stores and use the bonus money to buy AY+ points at list price - assuming that the prices for the goods bought are exactly same in the alternatives, which they in most cases aren't. Use of co-branded DC card does not change the equation, since the card can also be used in the S-group stores.
HOK-Elanto (which is the biggest S-Group store and also one of the worst in terms of bonus accrual) awards 2,5% bonus for a 400€ monthly spend, 2% for 300€ spend, and 1,5% for a mere 200€ monthly spend.
Given the above, the Stockmann offer will not redirect my daily spend from S-group to Stockmann.

Interesting calculation and quite true. However it's still a good offer if you make your shopping anyway at STO - and don't forget, it's not only groceries.

A very interesting proposition is the 15% more AY+ points earning for the black card - we'll see how it works, as I'm looking at 100k points in the next 3 months, so 15k+ extra would be most welcome. I wonder how it works - on top of total earned points? (so Plat in C would be 225% + 15% = 258% (?))

Agree. I've registered my AY+ number with Stockmann too, as I do shopping at Stockmann's anyway on regular basis. I was just considering shifting my entire daily shopping from Prisma to Herkku, but decided not to. Money talks.

Plat in C is 250 %. With Stockmann First in would be 287,5 % or 280 %.

It is calculated from base points, so eg value HEL-HAM is 2500 tier points (with AY+P) and 2700 award points with AY+P and Stockmann Exclusive.

Still good - a HEL-SIN in C would thus be 17k + 2,5k (15% First) = 19,5k (?) + any AY tier bonus

A meaningful addititon to the Stockmann card, as the First card was not really a useful for anything except the 10% off days. The only lounge is at the flagship store, so if you're not in downtown HEL...

On the particular category of groceries, Herkku gives out additional 2.5-5% bonus as soon as monthly spend hits 200 euros.

Actually remembering that Stockmann divested the car sales to Veho years ago no cars included in qualified spend anymore.

Oh? I did not know that, thought it would since they advertise cars at special prices for loyalty card holders...

Well, they also advertise holidays/flights/etc, eg Haikon kartano. Stockmann Auto in pitäjänmäki and tikkurila changed name sometime ago.
