Current and historical promotions

This is a thread for reporting details of promotions in the Finnair+ program.

The purpose of the wiki is to keep a repository of current and historical promotions. This works best if all details are given in a post of the thread. Once such a post is made, edit the wiki and add a short description of promo in headline-style, with a link to the post that holds the detailed information. (You can create such a link by right-clicking the post-number and copy link location).
Do not link to the promo itself from the Wiki, as the promo page is likely to disappear once the promo ended and such link will die, leaving the wiki sans historical info.

Feel free to discuss alterations to the format in the thread below.

Do not delete historical posts.

Me neither, so that part is great!

Found it while trying to buy the Mumin aprons (upon request). But those are only available on Japan flights, how sick is that?! I can't understand AY strategy for inflight offers. I have a 20€ voucher to burn but can't find a single item I want.

Finnair website says:

Earn Points
You will earn two Finnair Plus points for every euro you spend for advance tax-free orders and in flight shopping on Finnair flights (excluding the Sky Bistro selection). Please remember to enter your Finnair Plus membership number on the order form and to show your card upon payment. Finnair Plus points are not granted afterwards from Tax-free purchases.

So it seems AY+ points can be collected on Sky Bistro purchases during this campaign only until the end of January.

According to newest Blue Wing magazine double award points for KIX/NGO flights and select domestic japanese flights. Promotion 5.1-31.3.

Very short on details and I haven't been able to find it in internet.

The current Japan sales give only 25% AY+ points (both tier and award) from AY. I have not checked from JL, but likely same.

?!
I belive that there is no (apparent) connection between fare class (campaign/basic/value/pro) and booking class. At least a Basic can book into anything, including YBH. Still earns like a basic.

In JV tickets (japan/us) there is only saver and flexible and they earn according to booking class. Those fare classes (campaign etc) apply to other destinations like china, europe etc.

Ah, sorry. Head wasn't screwed on.
Yup, well aware Japan has been removed from normal AY chart.

...
I find these Japan promotions laughable. So they completely screwed their own load factors on Japan by letting BA and JL offer the lowest prices, and then think a double points promo will get the load factor up?

-- Added
QR ex ARN is 1745€ in J, and as EUR/SEK improves that deal is betting better.
AY ex ARN is 2725€ with this super duper double award points promo.

Nope. If you try to book them (you need to login with your AY+ first), it explicitly says 25% in the flight selection chart. That's what all Economy class Finnair sales earn anyway. The booking code became irrelevant when crediting AY codes to AY+ since the big revamp of late 2012. Previously, sales were booking into 25% yielding codes anyway.

As for JL, the sale books in Q which earns 25% on AY+. So it is even worse: kilometer-based and no tier bonus.

It seems similar to the autumn offer, except it is limited to direct HEL-{KIX,NGO} and open to non-elites AY+.

And if I read the fineprints right, it cannot be cumulated to the ongoing Japan sale: Q booking code is not included.

I pretty much gave up on Value tickets to Japan since the JV started

Reading the previous posts makes one very very fuzzy and lost about what is going on there = is that then a really well-executed promo advertising?

BTW I noted a week ago the Japan bonus points promo was there when I logged in, but it was not updated, i.e. it had the old dates from last year and I was equally very puzzled

I did not log in but the price same anyway if You log in: 597,82€ (Q).
My flight selection chart says only:
Finnair Plus points Yes
nothing about 25%.

And after JV came, Japan tickets dont have ticket types and they follow bookingcodes.
Only bookingcodes A W G are 25% and this Japan sale is Q = 50%.

If you have purchased a Finnair non-ticket type scheduled flight , please refer to the table below.
Japan, Hongkong and Singapore V,L,N,S,Q,O,Z,R (50%)
