Current and historical promotions

This is a thread for reporting details of promotions in the Finnair+ program.

The purpose of the wiki is to keep a repository of current and historical promotions. This works best if all details are given in a post of the thread. Once such a post is made, edit the wiki and add a short description of promo in headline-style, with a link to the post that holds the detailed information. (You can create such a link by right-clicking the post-number and copy link location).
Do not link to the promo itself from the Wiki, as the promo page is likely to disappear once the promo ended and such link will die, leaving the wiki sans historical info.

Feel free to discuss alterations to the format in the thread below.

Do not delete historical posts.

The cab page actually asks for departure / destination address and gives you an exact quote. To the centre it was "only" 9 euro more expensive for a C-Class Merc. I'll stick to the cheaper E-Class, thankyouverymuch

Depends on your destination - I have a short ride, not downtown Helsinki. Therefore the quoted 35€ vs the normal 22-ish € means a 50+% surcharge for 500 AY+ points.

The taxi fare airport to/from downtown is 40-45 euros on a normal day. Yes, it is a rip-off, but a government mandated rip-off very carefully measured by sealed machines

Well, the E-class is only rated 4,5 stars anyway. However, the MB sprint bus for 16 people is rated true 5-star!!

Truly hilarious!

to be clear - I can get an E-Class for 40€ to the city whereas the quoted C-Class is 49.09 for the theoretical morning run I had quoted.

Update - the ride home yesterday was € 23,80 in a C-class Merc from the taxi stand. I also asked for a quote, now it was € 45,75 for the C-class. (FWIW the ride took 13 minutes)

Can anyone spell "rip-off"?

To be fare, though, it's a bit of a different product. Someone waits for you, you don't queue in line. But then again - you can get that for 10e cheaper than a taxi from the queue in an E-Class anyway

Btw. Northern Europe is 3750 p per segment, not 3500 p.
What a joke. Whichever flights I have booked in Y for the summer months, there is a red cross over when using the upgrade availability tool. They have done the "British Airways Avios redemption" with this "promotion".

Hmm, hard to say about the availability right now. Usually I've got quite decent availability with this -50 % upgrade promotion. Waitlisted s/h upgrades have also cleared so far.

Try to call. It might easily be, that it's an IT issue, not availablity issue. AY have usually very good upgrade avaiability. In the summer holidays I think this should be even better, with buusiness travel down

I called today because of "No availability" on the web page for some EU flights. Those seats allocated for upgrades had already been reserved for upgrades and some biz seats still unsold so only waitlist available.

Might still be that the promo is kicking in good and the seats are in fact taken.

Hmm, showed no availability online for me too - on a route where C is mostly empty. Filled out the online request form, nevertheless, will see what happens.

Semi-OT; I filled the upgrade request-form about 24 hours ago and still no answer.

Prior they have replied within few hours so this long wait makes me wonder...
In this case it's not an availability issue as there was free seat according to the "upgrade-tool".

Filled online form last Tuesday and received answer only yesterday. Took almost a week to react, but happily I am upgraded.
