Current and historical promotions

This is a thread for reporting details of promotions in the Finnair+ program.

The purpose of the wiki is to keep a repository of current and historical promotions. This works best if all details are given in a post of the thread. Once such a post is made, edit the wiki and add a short description of promo in headline-style, with a link to the post that holds the detailed information. (You can create such a link by right-clicking the post-number and copy link location).
Do not link to the promo itself from the Wiki, as the promo page is likely to disappear once the promo ended and such link will die, leaving the wiki sans historical info.

Feel free to discuss alterations to the format in the thread below.

Do not delete historical posts.

Thanks for adding the links! As far as I can see no mention of Insignia Grand Sport there, so odd that that very specific model is the only one mentioned in the Finnair advert for the promo... Plus the 3 linked models on the test-drive page are all quite small cars, vs the Insignia, and it's not clear what would happen if you try a test drive on a model (like the Insignia) not there. Presumably it would be OK as the T&C just say 'test driving a test drive at an Opel dealer)...

Indeed.

Can anyone with insight to this marketing strategy tell me if this really is working?

I mean, the idea behind this must be getting more people test-driving? But any logically thinking person would quickly surmise that 1x250k is an awfully small chance of getting a admittedly good reward. But if you already wasn't thinking about test-driving, will you really go do it with a very small chance of getting something? I would have thought the 50x5k worked better.

At least for lotteries that is working. Better a big potential win than a good chance to win.

There are J campaign tickets on BRU - BKK for sale for only 1189€ p.p. if you book for 2. Maybe someone wants to do a MR with some vacation around New Year.

You might be right. That is a dark insight into human psyche. I remember one case from math-studies where it was proven humans are not good at evaluating chance and reward:

If you ask 100 people if they rather have a 100% chance of losing 50€ or have a 50% chance of losing 100€, they all will chose the latter despite both options being equally bad. Even if you tilt the losses (100% chance of losing 10€ or 50% chance of losing 100€) they still all chose the worst options, as humans have a loss-aversion built in.

There probably is a similar reward-proneness, making people think a 5% chance to win 100€ is better than a 100% chance of winning 5€.

So exiting in HEL and some time later flying to BRU in J should be possible.

EDIT: And instead of BKK PVG, SIN or HKG should be also possible. But that comes at a premium of 200 - 300€ p.p.

They just match the LX companion fare in J, it seems they want to be the cheapest on routes to Asia no matter what. Too bad they can't match LX special fares in F

Do you have a direct link for this? I'm planning a trip for early December.

Just shop around for the dates you want for example on AY site.. These offers are not advertised anywhere.

I guess Fortuna was on my side (at least a bit) as there is on the statement:
26.6.2017 COMPETITION +5800 Award points

This would match with one of the daily 5000 draw 15.5-15.6 +800 from the quiz.
