Would not be surprised if YVR and SEA switched to 78X. Both have terrible Y and PE yields, especially YVR. SEA still maintains a high J loading because of the tech industry so BR may opt to keep 77W(just like how SIN has 2x 77W).

From what I've gathered, YVR has too much competition after AC resumes service and BR is struggling to fill its Y cabins.. they have switched from 353seat 777 to 323/333 seats to maintain LF. The 10 abreast 777s are now deployed to nonstop Paris and Vienna.

Would be nice to see it out of LHR but J is always pretty full when ever I'm on board as well as PE so probably not.

Ever since 77B entered the fleet, BR has been switching it off of SEA, SFO, and YVR onto European destinations during the months of August-November because of school holidays in Europe(and other holidays). Once it hits the first few weeks of November, the 77B are shifted back onto the North American routes and the European routes return to 77M. Aug-Nov is low season when everyone goes home and children return to school so switching the larger aircraft off makes sense for them.

Still hope they can launch San Jose.

They announced it in their own press release. TPE-HKG first, once the 2nd plane is on property, they will start TPE-Japan.

I'm sure 789 will replace the remaining A332 so BNE is a good bet for long haul destination. It also gives BR an alternate plane to send to Europe during low season vs. 77W so VIE is possible.

For regional flights between long hauls, 789 will go everywhere between Japan and Singapore.

According to Airlineroute and some training CP's, the 78X does not feature PE either. They have no plans to put PE into any 787 aircraft. Mgmt. supposedly pulled the PE training manual for the 787 back in Oct. 2017.

Looks similar to the biz I experienced recently on Aer Lingus. The seat is approximately the same level of comfort as the current EVA J.

I wonder if they would do PE on the 78J...and if the 789 has lie flat J (i.e. non-regional configuration), kind of strange why there is no PE, right? I think PE demand can be easily controlled by pricing.

Otherwise, they can't really put them on routes with the 77W, right? It almost seems to me they should have done 2 configurations of the 789 - one regional and one long haul.

Currently, I think they are only planning to take four 789s and 20+ 78J, so maybe they want the 789 fleet to be a common cabin. I would have thought the 78J would be configured regional (with reclining J seats and no PE) and the 789 would be able to serve ULH with lie-flat J and PE.

Oops, I had them reversed. Right, they are getting mostly 78Js and fewer 789s. So, it seems to me the 789s should have PE and 78Js should have 2 configurations.

They essentially should not rely on the 77Ws as CI is using and Starlux will use the A350 which offer better passenger comfort.
