Blocking still occurs. Bulkheads are blocked till some number of days before departure to cater to pax that have infants. BR also blocks for Diamond/Gold members flying in Y. Things open up if the flight gets filled. Otherwise, unless you have Gold/Diamond status, pretty low chance of snagging them before they're released.

Hello,
Was wondering if anyone can tell me how much of the view is obstructed by the engine in row 11? Crying babies in the first row of PE don’t bother me so no worries there. Just curious about engine obstruction in 11 or if 10 is better.

Booked my PE flight last December for this coming November. Was able to choose bulkhead seat in late March, in fact there are still bulkhead seats available on the outbound, no PE seats are blocked.

I'm booked in Business Class from JFK to TPE. Do any of the business class seats have that small cubbyhole for the feet like Singapore Airlines? I'm traveling solo and I'm not sure which rows I should be in...

any seat recommendations for my ORD>TPE tomorrow? i’ve got 2K right now. comments in this and another thread indicated service is better in the front cabin, but i’m wondering if an emptier mini-cabin changes that. thanks!

Got a question for the passengers who fly regularly on Business class. Why is there no 7A? Also what is the best seat in business class? They are not giving the first row at all or it is booked. When I wanted 7K they told me its near the galley and could be noisy.

Front: Avoid some of the boarding chaos, Rear: Smaller cabin.
Row 7 is near the galleys, but they are very diligent with the curtains. Row 8 also has bassinets, so you might want to avoid. The galley in front of Row 1 has less action, but there are some closets that are opened/closed for various items during the flight.

There’s a bathroom where 7A would be. My main issue with 7k is that there’s no window.

Neither do I. I had been in both on different flights and did ask the FA to make it a bit cooler and she did cool the cabin down to a bearable level.

I don't think there is any difference although the rear cabin is often less full, so perhaps you have a better chance of someone else not complaining the cabin is too cold.
I've found choosing the side of the plane with less sun can make a small difference if in a window seat.

Still in two minds about the first or the second cabin in business. Members who fly regularly on BR can please enlighten me on this. Is the second cabin better than the first cabin in business class?
