Did you ever find the answer here?

According to seat guru, users report that bulkhead seats actually have less legroom than others - is this correct?

Does anyknow know if BR opens up Premium Economy seats during check in for Economy Class passengers. Will be flying on their 777s in Economy from KUL to TPE. From the website it seems to me they're not selling Premium Economy on this route but on the seat selection page its blocked. I am KF Gold with Krisflyer if it makes any difference.

Anyone know if blocked seats are sold or just unsold inventory that is reserved for elites. Wondering if award space via United will open up 24 hours before.

For inventory, you're better off looking at fare class availability like so instead of the seat map:

The seat map will not tell you how many seats are actually still available for sale as some passengers don't have / don't select their seats.

Fyi, available inventory may not always be released for awards.

As someone who's been in 1A dozens of times, no. All seats have the same legroom.

Do you mean online Check In or at the counter itself?

I have recently flown on the Economy seat sector but with a PE fare and they did put me in the PE cabin and gave me a good seat too. All by myself on the first row window seat with the aisle seat free. In my experience they have always given priority to the PE passengers seated in the economy cabin due to the aircraft seating arrangements.

I have booked 2 business class seats for SFO-TPE at 2K and 3K in Dec 2023. I hope they change to use 787 on this route though. The Royal Laurel Class seats on 787 looks much more spacious and modern than those on 77W's

I seriously doubt they would put the 787-10s on SFO since the 77Ws can still carry a lot more.

I've flown the 77W on EVA for years and just recently flew the 787 on TPE-SEA.

While the 787 has supposedly a better cabin environment and more modern, updated seats, I prefer the reverse herringbone of the 77W as there are far too many "inferior" seats on the 787 (i.e., those close to the aisle). With the 77W most, if not all of the window seats are equivalent (and the middle seats are equivalent).

The 787 has a slight edge in storage (given that the cubby has a closable door, opposed to the open concept of that on the 77W) and "feels slightly" more spacious but the difference isn't huge IMO. My ranking would be:

1) 787 true window seats (those further from the aisle)
2) 77W all window seats
3) 77W middle seats
4) 787 middle seats

There's always a ton of passengers and cargo on this route. The 787 would be a significant down gauge in capacity.

Thank you for mentioning that. I thought 7K would be the ideal, most private, seat. It may well be that, but the lack of a window kills the deal for me.
