They didn't say specifically but I had asked about paying for the upgrade before leaving Bali for that leg but was too much $$ to justify. Maybe we just got lucky. Just booking the same flight now for next Feb but making sure I get the right fare class K this time to try to use aeroplan up on long legs.

I'm about to book PE on EVA. Do all of the seats have foot rests (I aaw an old review which said that only a few did) and is there any row that is better than the rest? I'm traveling with my wife and she likes the window so we'll book two on the side.

Just flew PE, from what I can tell all the PE rows except the bulkhead of foot rests, for the bulkhead they have fold out supports that come out from under the seat, actually looks more comfortable than the foot rest ( more support )

So I looked but its hard to find information in a thread this long. I'll be flying in PE later this summer and I'm debating between which row I would like. I was originally in the last room of PE but switched to a bulkhead seat, 20D to be exact. According to Seat Guru there's restricted legroom in the bulkhead seats, can anybody confirm this and how restricted is it? If its not too much I'd be happy because at least no one can recline into you in the bulkhead.

For me its just a short hop from Taipei to Shanghai. Thanks for the tip though.
Update - I never wound up taking this flight, as I changed my flight to Seoul and flew an A330 in business.

Just got a itinerary change for our YVR-TPE flight for Feb 2020. EVA is switching to 787-9 on Feb 17, so no more PE on this route. Luckily we had already upgraded to buisness or we would have been made to choose to either upgrade, downgrade or fly through Seattle on our return flight. Will see which royal laurel is better, 777 or 787

BR27 (SFO-TPE) on 777-300ER in J
Hello experts! My wife and I will be flying from SFO to TPE on BR27 in early September enroute to our honeymoon! We are booked in J and currently have 1D/G. I'm not sure which version of the aircraft it is, but I'm assuming given the recent changes that it might be 77B. At any rate, we're looking for two middle seats together - and the entire J cabin is open at this point; nothing is blocked off. I'd originally booked 1D/G and wondering if I should keep us there, or move to another row (eg. rows 2 or 3)? For example, will we have an overhead bin in row 1? Any reason to change, or is row 1 awesome and I should just keep it? Thanks!

Does 77W seat 7K really have no window?
I have a reservation with four segments on BR 777-300ERs. From the seat selection diagram on the EVA website, it appears all four flights will be in the 77A or 77B configuration. I wanted 7K because it seems to be the most private, but when selecting it a pop-up alerts "No window View Seat." I know airplanes have rows where a window may be missing, but usually in J class there are two, so that if one is missing there remains the other one. Does 7K have *no* window, or does it just have one, but not two? Interestingly, seatguru.com doesn't mention a lack of windows at 7K.
