Emirates has unveiled the new first class cabin for their 777s at the Dubai Air Show on November 12th, 2017.
Notably, the new F cabin is fully enclosed from floor to ceiling, has a reduction from 8 seats to 6 total, had virtual windows for the center cabins and features video-based room service ordering.
Business and Economy cabins have also been refreshed, but not completely overhauled.

So I have a question do you think EK will really upgrade the entire fleet or use the new planes coming in as a defect upgrade to the fleet ( cabins) ? I tend to think they will use the new planes coming in. Face it their one time leading edge cabins have lost some of their luster having said that I still enjoy both F and biz

Apparently Riyadh and Kuwait will be getting the 777’s with new F.

Might be none. Given the mention of MLE, a single 77W frame could in a day operate DXB-MLE-DXB + Riyadh and Kuwait returns. Using a new delivery, so not removing any existing frames from other routes. Sounds to me like the purpose is for training, as they get many more new F sectors that can be used for this.

MLE, which is generally a couples destination, seems like an odd choice for the new F product.
Having flown the new F product six times now, for sleeping, the old first class seat is definitely better for me. For whatever reason the new seats do not go fully flat and as a side sleeper this isn't great. I also nearly got hit in the face by a projectile Perrier bottle during the take off roll as one of the bar doors was not latched properly...
I've had a couple of fantastic flights in F on the A380 recently - I think it's still the best F product that EK offers.

its not great for couples who want to sit together (the best seats would be 1A/E or 2F/k but it’s across an aisle)
my favourite seat is 2F - Middle suites are much bigger

Couples need to learn to sit separately on the plane! What's wrong with a bit of alone time? They'll be together all the time once they reach the destination anyway.

Not sure which post you're talking about so have not had the chance to read it, but I assume it's referring to the 777-200LR fleet which were all converted to 2 class with a different J configuration and thus updated. The 777-300ER will likely not be updated as they have started retiring/returning some of these already and will be replaced by the 777-8/9 and other aircraft with EK's latest order.
