Information on Load requests
The number of seats for sale for a flight are available via ExpertFlyer.com, a subscription-based service with a 5-day free trial. A subscription is $9.99/month and can be enabled and disabled any time. It is encouraged to subscribe rather than post repeatedly in this thread.
NB: Op-up changes or overselling of a flight cannot be determined with certainty from this information, only inferred to be more or less probable.
For a once-off load request please follow these guidelines:
Flight loads >7 days out are not very useful, as the airline could still sell many seats, unless availability of a specific fare bucket (e.g. Business Saver upgrade) is requested. If you wish to know the general flight load please don't post >7 days before departure.
When requesting a load please provide the following information:
- Date of flight (departure date)
- Flight Number
- Origin
- Destination
These four fields are mandatory in searching on ExpertFlyer (see screenshot below) and it isn't fair to except those who pay for their subscriptions to also have to go look up which cities a specific flight number is from and to (also some flight numbers are onward flights (5th freedom routes, e.g. CMB-MLE) and loads will differ significantly depending on which sector of the flight is checked.

There's really no point in checking availability this far in advance, but here you go.

The only thing it says (as far as Economy is concerned) is that the airline is not selling any more economy seats, even Flex+. I don’t really understand what you mean with ‘free economy seats’, but it can be interpreted as saying that Economy will be full! It’s the same for both flights. If you already have a Y Flex+ ticket (or are a Plat Skywards member), there is a chance of an operational upgrade. Impossible to say how good that chance is.

I assume this means i have a Y ticket.
I am on standby for those 2 flights. My first time using an ID90 ticket and i am trying to figure out if i have a good chance of making it on any of the planes, preferably the EK16 which is the earlier flight.
Thanks for your earlier response and hoping you can help further with the context i have provided. I am so confused.

So my ticket has this info on it: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION EQUIVALENT FARE: ZONAL EMPL DISC Y-SUBLOAD VALID ON EK ONLY/31OCT22FZ012A / 07221

But I am fairly sure that SUBLOAD means Subject To Load, i.e. it is a standby ticket and from that point of view it would appear that your chances to get a seat are slim. But again, I have no experience in this. Maybe others on this forum can give a better idea.

The controller/dispatcher will generally start to upgrade people from J into F and Y into J to make space for Y standbys if necessary if payload constraints allow it.
You should also be familiar with the EK staff travel rules especially with regard to conduct and attire - if you are an employee you know where that is, if you are friends and family, your sponsor should make you aware (as you are not departing ex-DXB where the staff check in area has the main rules on display there).

Be aware of married segment logic here. It is a bit unlikely that it is Y8 etc for each of these individual flights.
