Information on Load requests
The number of seats for sale for a flight are available via ExpertFlyer.com, a subscription-based service with a 5-day free trial. A subscription is $9.99/month and can be enabled and disabled any time. It is encouraged to subscribe rather than post repeatedly in this thread.
NB: Op-up changes or overselling of a flight cannot be determined with certainty from this information, only inferred to be more or less probable.
For a once-off load request please follow these guidelines:
Flight loads >7 days out are not very useful, as the airline could still sell many seats, unless availability of a specific fare bucket (e.g. Business Saver upgrade) is requested. If you wish to know the general flight load please don't post >7 days before departure.
When requesting a load please provide the following information:
- Date of flight (departure date)
- Flight Number
- Origin
- Destination
These four fields are mandatory in searching on ExpertFlyer (see screenshot below) and it isn't fair to except those who pay for their subscriptions to also have to go look up which cities a specific flight number is from and to (also some flight numbers are onward flights (5th freedom routes, e.g. CMB-MLE) and loads will differ significantly depending on which sector of the flight is checked.

Strange. More J Saver (O) than J Flex / Flex+ availability? Also Y7 to X7 seems strange. I would not trust that result.

I haven't seen "H" on any results recently but they appear on the EF result supplied by Will08.

Depends on how you define "awfully". It could be just 20 seats available across all classes. It could even be just 11 seats available (4 in F and 7 in J), and EK willing to oversell Y

When trying to search the evening EK flight out of BKK it does not appear in the results at all.

It is a great point as well, which in reality makes this thread completely pointless as we are all always guessing and just hoping for the best..

I think it disappears when the runway work is being done, then returns at a new time of 03:30, maybe to fill the slot vacated by EK418/419 which went DXB-BKK-SYD but is stopping pretty soon.

Can I get a check for EK19 on 18th April please?
I'm fairly sure this flight is completely full, which normally would have me rubbing my hands together as I am Gold and I have a Flex Plus ticket, but I had auto-upgrade set and it seems to have disappeared without an upgrade being confirmed.
Should I:
- Rely on an op-up
- Go on the miles upgrade wait-list at the airport (big waste of miles in prime op-up territory)
- Look for space on the flight before or after?
My schedule is pretty easy and its not really the end of the world if I gamble and don't get an upgrade.

A few of us here will - from time to time - do flight load requests. But you need to give us the route as well as the flight number. EF wants both and although we can of course do a flight lookup, its reasonable for you to give us that information.
