Information on Load requests

The number of seats for sale for a flight are available via ExpertFlyer.com, a subscription-based service with a 5-day free trial. A subscription is $9.99/month and can be enabled and disabled any time. It is encouraged to subscribe rather than post repeatedly in this thread.

NB: Op-up changes or overselling of a flight cannot be determined with certainty from this information, only inferred to be more or less probable.

For a once-off load request please follow these guidelines:

Flight loads >7 days out are not very useful, as the airline could still sell many seats, unless availability of a specific fare bucket (e.g. Business Saver upgrade) is requested. If you wish to know the general flight load please don't post >7 days before departure.

When requesting a load please provide the following information:

- Date of flight (departure date)
- Flight Number
- Origin
- Destination

These four fields are mandatory in searching on ExpertFlyer (see screenshot below) and it isn't fair to except those who pay for their subscriptions to also have to go look up which cities a specific flight number is from and to (also some flight numbers are onward flights (5th freedom routes, e.g. CMB-MLE) and loads will differ significantly depending on which sector of the flight is checked.

Thank you.
Apart from 384, most flights that day are looking wide open in all classes.

Strange. More J Saver (O) than J Flex / Flex+ availability? Also Y7 to X7 seems strange. I would not trust that result.

I'm seeing F4 A4 J7 C7 I7 O7 Y9 E9 R9 W9 M9 B9 U9 K9 Q9 L9 T9 V9 X9, although not using Expert Flyer

I haven't seen "H" on any results recently but they appear on the EF result supplied by Will08.

Also, the Economy results could be accurate as a dummy booking shows X (cheapest Special) fares available and at least 9 of them can be booked.

I can see that on Expert Flyer as well. And no 'H'. The result will08 got was obviously a glitch in EF at the time.
That flight is awfully empty! (but still a week to go)

Depends on how you define "awfully". It could be just 20 seats available across all classes. It could even be just 11 seats available (4 in F and 7 in J), and EK willing to oversell Y

I didnt pay the results that much attention but I have noticed a few glitches this week.

When trying to search the evening EK flight out of BKK it does not appear in the results at all.

You could very well be correct. I flew this route three times last year and it was over sold every time.

It is a great point as well, which in reality makes this thread completely pointless as we are all always guessing and just hoping for the best..

EK377?

I think it disappears when the runway work is being done, then returns at a new time of 03:30, maybe to fill the slot vacated by EK418/419 which went DXB-BKK-SYD but is stopping pretty soon.

No, EK373, for this Thursday, I have checked a few times and it never shows up!

Can I get a check for EK19 on 18th April please?

I'm fairly sure this flight is completely full, which normally would have me rubbing my hands together as I am Gold and I have a Flex Plus ticket, but I had auto-upgrade set and it seems to have disappeared without an upgrade being confirmed.

Should I:

- Rely on an op-up
- Go on the miles upgrade wait-list at the airport (big waste of miles in prime op-up territory)
- Look for space on the flight before or after?

My schedule is pretty easy and its not really the end of the world if I gamble and don't get an upgrade.

Never rely on an op-up. Key question is what the higher cabin load is. If it's full there'll be no op-ups. Lack of upgrade, auto or not, says nothing about loads. Auto upgrade disappears at T-48 or so I think

A few of us here will - from time to time - do flight load requests. But you need to give us the route as well as the flight number. EF wants both and although we can of course do a flight lookup, its reasonable for you to give us that information.
