I just recently booked a reward flight on EK using qff points for May/June 2018.My route is Syd/DXB/Gla,my outbound is in F,my return is in J.Im just looking for an answer to a couple of questions.
On the outbound journey I presume I can(hopefully) use the 1st class lounge in DXB?
On the return journey will I be able to use the 1st class lounge in DXB using my QF platinum card or will I be restricted to the J lounge?
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
TIA

Guys - planning a trip with my 3 year old. Which partition comes down fully - J or F and is either capable of forming a double bed? Sleep is no.1 priority for me. A comparison with etihad would help too

No double beds in EK, both J and F have bassinets

Donno what the rules around bassinets are. Though just had a baby the size of Shrek in on in Y from AMS. That kid's definitely going to get diabetes.

Same day changes EK award

I just made an award booking with an intentional 8 hour layover in DXB with the intention of trying to make either a same day change or closer in change if availability opens up to arrive at destination earlier in day. Problem is it seems the earlier flight never releases any award availability and sends the F cabins empty. Does EK allow same day changes at the counter on award bookings if space is available, or only if award inventory is available? Route is JFK-DXB-NBO. Any advice appreciated.

Smile Emirates/SPG vs Alaska Miles

Hello Everyone,

First time poster here...

I'm flying SFO-DBX business class in December, and trying to figure out if I should use my Alaska FF # vs. using Emirates. I rarely fly Emirates (last time was about a decade ago.)

I am SPG gold, which means I'd get around an extra 5K points I believe if I used my emirates number through your world rewards?

Does anyone know the best way to maximize my miles on this trip? Is it as simple as using my emirates number initially then transferring all miles to Alaska Mileage after posting?

Thanks for your help!

You can't transfer miles from one airline to another, between any two airlines generally.

So would the emirates miles + 5K SPG be more valuable in your opinion
, or would banking them with Alaska/another partner be more valuable given I rarely fly Emirates?

The EK miles would be worthless if you don't fly EK regularly. But ultimately it's your decision. To me AS miles are useless

So I've honestly searched for hours now, but because the web is cluttered with "Book Emirates flights with JAL Miles" couldn't find an answer to this simple question:

Can I book a one-way award on JL with Skywards Miles?

I don't have the answer but a quick google search throws up many threads on the subject:

Using JAL points on EK
Advice kindly sought re booking Emirates via JAL Mileage Bank
Emirates JAL Award Question
Emirates award maximization on JAL
Emirates using JAL miles

One of these might have the answer (probably will, I recall it being discussed somewhere)
