Didn't even think about a replacement. I'm inclined to agree with you.

What they can do is DXB LUN HRE 4 weekly, and DXB LLW MPM 3 weekly, so Lilongwe and Maputo get served.

The new BHX (EK041/042) daily only runs until 31st December, so its not going to be a 365 days a year new service after all.

Where are you getting this? It's still in the schedule (there's a change of equipment on Jan 1, as noted in post 43 in this thread)

Sorry, on the EK website it says experience first class until 31st December - I genuinely thought they would offer a first class service year round now, I didn't realise it was for 3 months before reverting to another 2 class product and thought it was just a trial run on the 3rd service.

I suppose that the First Class on DXB-BHX is doing ok, not astonishingly well, as opposed to the Business and Economy Class is doing good to the point of another flight (EK041/EK042) to sustain.

Just learnt from someone in BEY that EK might reinstate EK955/956 to/from BEY with an A332 3 days a week this summer, if it eventuates it will be announced in the next month for JUL-SEP.

At the moment the daily 2 flights are operated with A332 and B77L/W and will also see all B77L/W for the summer. -not sure where they'll get the extra B777 from though seeing their utilisation are quite high already.

Emirates is starting a second daily SEA rotation on July 07. The flight will operate daily with B77L:

EK227 DXB SEA 0315 0655 B77L
EK228 SEA DXB 0940 1055 B77L

The aircraft will be sourced from reduced PER operations and free B77L capacity in the system.

Just seen this - am interested in the bold bit, as am booked on EK 422 in September - any further info on the reduction? Apols in advance if already reported! (Did scroll back on this thread)

I agree we will see a few more destinations announced before the end of the year. DL/AA/UA have pissed EK off recently. I can see EK going full throttle on north american expansion now.

I think we will see within the next couple years:
MIA-Large O/D market to Middle east/india/Africa
PDX-Alaska airlines hub, AS interlines/codeshares with EK on all flights.
ATL- Interlines with DL
MSP- Interlines with DL
DTW- Interlines with DL

Very great and exciting news for my home base of MCO! They are also running introduction fare specials for the launch.

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/busin...324-story.html

A380 service might be a while, as they are just about to start on airport renovations/expansions/additions that I believe will include a gate or two for the A380.

Very exciting news none the less for av geeks in MCO.
