Mr. EK77W has right.

For BCN, DPS and BHX only one frame each destination is needed; total: 3 frames

For JFK and MCO need two frames each; total 4 frames.

SEA will get the 2 frames ex-Perth....so 7 frames are realistic.

So now the question is where will they deploy the 3 other LR frames. My guess is 2 for MIA and 1 for HEL.

With those 3 LR frames, if they time it right, I think they can have a new route to MIA, ATL or PHL and a switch of South American routes: Rather than GIG-EZE, have GIG-SCL and EZE separate.

Of those options, I would say MIA is the obvious choice unless EK just wants to embarrass the pants off DL and RA in ATL.

If there wasnt the DXB MCO, I would no doubt say Miami. But since they have Orlando served, Miami is really close (I guess it is ok, look at JFK & BOS)

Looking at the 77L schedules from the 1st of October onward, they could launch a daily MIA and 2 daily European routes, plus increase LYS to daily. Separating GIG and EZE would require another 2 aircraft.

MIA won't happen now any time soon given Orlando and the fact it is a jet blue hub and you can take a quick transfer.

Quick transfer from MIA-MCO on Jetblue? If that's what you mean.. Jetblue doesn't fly to MIA.

Correct me if im wrong but i think the change was from A380 TO 77W.
Booked this late december and it was still showing A380, week ago went to change dietary requests and checking seats, its 77W now.
Also 6 months ago it was A380 when i flew it last time.

It is a route that sees a lot of changes, but the post you quoted was right at the time I believe.

However, it appears this time the A380 only lasted February and March and it's been back to an A380 for April flights.

Seems like BEY is getting one of the 77L's. It will also get a 773.

Will these 330's be leaving the fleet? If so, good riddance!

Not yet. The increase in capacity is as the national States due to the mass of Lebanese who live here!
