They will sell enough from Dxb trust me and demand for f would be there.

Don`t think this way; there`s a lot of flights arriving in DXB from Europe ( FCO, DUS, AMS, LYS, HAM, CDG, MXP, MUC, DME etc..) between 06:00 and 06:30....enought time to connect to DPS

All true but it popped in my RSS feed with Route updates directly from EK (but have to admit I can't find it there right now)

Right, it will continue the flight to JFK at the same aircraft.
Who knows how mad American, Alitalia, and Delta will get with the upgauge!

Yup - completely fair enough - I presumed that the UK evening wave would arrive at a similar time to the rest of Europe - I can now see that's not the case. Am surprised, but if Emirates can offer connections out of Holland / Germany / Italy and Heathrow then Gatwick / Manchester / Newcastle / Birmingham / Glasgow are less important.

Still big numbers though - so maybe a small tweak a la HKT may happen - after all only MAN on QR offer a single change direct DPS flight of these - so competitive advantage to EK if they sweep up the rest!

Nyasa Times in malawi reporting that Emirates plan to schedule flights to LLW.

http://www.nyasatimes.com/2015/03/05...g-into-malawi/

Although I would really welcome the addition I am just a bit sceptical with the article due the fact that no emirates officials have been quoted as confirming the news.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Just read in the Nyassa Times (http://www.nyasatimes.com/2015/03/05...g-into-malawi/) that Emirates are going to be flying to Lilongwe - no date so any info would be appreciated (will make my life MUCH easier)

If this happens it will make travelling to malawi a pleasure, positive news in every aspect. Fingers crossed for a date soon and a decent fare.

I also thought the timing was interesting. Presumably this will mostly be O&D tourist traffic into Bali, and it does shaft the long weekend a little. The 0300 departure wave arriving into Bali in time for hotel check-ins would have been more intuitive to me. Also interesting to see, rights permitting, would have been DXB-DPS-PER (an upgauge to the 3AM with Bali added in) given Aussies account for the 3rd most tourist arrivals into Indonesia.

Anyway, Bali is great news! Maybe more overnight capacity from Europe then? Barcelona is coming.... I say a second daily A380 out of AMS!

I wouldn't discount the possibility that Harare frequency gets reduced and that EK would then operate DXB LUN HRE 4 weekly and DXB LUN LLW 3 weekly or something along those lines. HRE does not seem to be the most stellar of performers. On the other hand, I agree that Maputo must for sure be on the short list as a new destination.
