EDI - Currently showing as no chauffeur available but as this is a new route what do you think the chances are it will be available by the time the flights start?

Looking at booking my Mum from Scotland to New Zealand next feb. If she flies out from EDI and back to GLA she only has a short layover in DXB which is her preference rather than return from Glasgow which involves a 9 hr layover on the outward bound flight.

She lives within the 70 mile radius of Edinburgh airport (assuming its as the crow flies)

I just booked the complimentary chauffer service, we are 4 in the ticket and is qualified to have 4 cars. But we want to be together in the car so I just booked for 1 car. There was no option to choose the type of car. How will I be assured that we will fit in the car (with luggages) on the day of our flights?

Flying from CRK to DXB.

You won’t be. Some of the cars used for F would not fit 4, and for J it would a squeeze, especially with luggage
i would book 2, when you get your confirmation from operating company in the week before travel, ask for a larger car or van directly
My limited experience is the call centre is unhelpful here.
I do not know who they use in the Philippines.
I have seen at LHR Addison Lee, who is the contracted company using Mercedes vans for parties of 4-5 people.

Good advice. Book two cars and once you get real contact information sort it out with them directly, or not and play it safe with 2 cars.

this is something I am eager to know too. Our nearest airport is NCL but would consider EDI instead, obviously paying the extra mileage.

Be aware that it’s not ‘as the crow flies’, but actual driven miles. And there have been reports that they enforce this strictly, sending you a payment request before you travel. The rates (I think they are the same for all UK airports) are on the website. It’s Addison Lee (the service provider) who collects the payment. I am happy to live (literally) 69 miles from LGW…..
In the past, I have flown to LHR and got a car home, probably 90 driven miles, and not had to pay. But those days are over.

Flex Plus Different Than Classic?

I originally booked Business Flex Plus Reward tickets and later upgraded to First Flex Plus Reward tickets. Are these different than a Business Classic Reward and applicable for Chauffeur Drive?

The app nor the website gives me the option. Then again, neither gave me the option for the complimentary hotel booking and I got it by calling them.

There's no CD on reward tickets.

Chaffuer service now available from 4th November ( when flights first commence).
Distance based on actual mileage not as the crow flies but 70miles from EDI cover most of central Scotland.
Saves a v expensive taxi fare.

Is anyone having issues with a greyed-out address field in the CD booking form both online and in the app?

For instance, I am able to book a drop-off TO JFK, but I'm not able to book the inbound (pick up from hotel to airport). I've tried the app, and multiple browsers on my laptop. Any ideas?

Yes, just last week I tried to book our CD to STN from our house and back again. As you pointed out the pickup/drop off location areas were inaccessible (depending upon the leg of the journey) so I used the Chat function to complete the bookings. Very helpful agent filled in all the details for me at their end. After a couple of minutes, I then was able to see the bookings on the MMB page.
