We are landing at Suvarnabhumi Airport and have a flight from Don Muang Airport 5 hours later. I've just read the chauffeur Drive doesn't apply to airport to airport. Has anybody successfully travelled between both airport or can you get dropped off at the Amari and use the walkway?
Thanks

Book the Amari and then when you are in the vehicle just ask the driver to drop you at DMK.

There is a free airport connection bus but you probably are aware: you just show your departure flight to access it at a desk. Takes about an hour traffic depending. Your plan to pretend you are staying at the Amari Don M sounds good to use the chauffeur though. You can access the walkway escalator inside the Amari reception.

Interestingly, both Apple maps and Google maps give me 69 miles from my home to LGW. Have you tried at least there (or for instance Waze?) I have used the service very often, both from and to the airport and have never expected to pay (and have never been asked to either). But they seem to be getting more sticky with all of this. Have booked a car for next Tuesday so we'll see if they have a different view of the distance than I have.
Interestingly, during Covid when EK did not fly to LGW, I once flew to LHR which is 89 miles and I was not charged for that (and the airfare was about 60% of what it is now....)

We got a satisfactory resolution with Addison Lee agreeing our estimate of mileage and refunding the overcharge. From our correspondence with them their “postcode to postcode” pricing is based on the central point of the area designated by the first two letters of your postcode. In our case that is 30 miles north (and further away from LGW) of our actual address.

This was achieved without any suggestion of taking it to the licensing authorities or social media, and the agent we dealt with was always responsive and did appear to be arguing our case within the company.

That is interesting information!
The first two letters of your postcode seems a VERY rough way to estimate this and that is clearly what happened to you.
The actual distance from my house to LGW North terminal (according to both Apple- and Google Maps) is 69.7 miles (I kid you not!) and I have never been charged. If I look at the map for the first two letters of my postcode, I would have thought that 'the centre' is further than my actual distance but then I don't know how they identify 'the centre'.
In the old days they looked at the 'as the crow flies' distance and I could (just) get to and from LHR without surcharge.

(with the above information you could probably work out where I live. An amenity kit for grabs for the first correct answer (first 3 characters of my postcode...)

'Once upon a time' it was 70 miles 'as the crow flies'. We are exactly 70 miles 'as the crow flies' from GLA and have had at least 10 trips in J (so at least 20 times chaffeur driven) without incurring a charge. The last time we were stunned to receive an invoice from Addison Lee ('just carrying out instructions from Emirates') for £85 2 days before the flight for the trip to the airport for outward journey. On querying it we were told it's no longer straight line distance it's road miles distance. Take it up with Emirates if you wish but unless you pay it we'll cancel the booking. Fait accomplii. Paid it and was also sent an invoice 2 days before return flight. I looked up my records and pre Covid the return J fare to MEL was just over half what we paid last trip. So, not only have fares almost doubled but they now slug for road miles over 70. I realise that £170 compared to the J return fare is little in the scheme of things but the principle of raising fares so much then charging for extra miles irks. While I'm at it they also give fewer Skywards miles for each journey.

My flight out of JFK is going to be delayed upwards of 4hrs tonight. Does the chauffeur provider at outstations adjust pick up time based on delayed departure, or still show up at previously scheduled time?

I wouldn't rely on common sense, I would call who ever the local company is and confirm the timing.

Yes, ‘O’ is Saver which gives you all the usual benefits. CD, lounge access and seat selection. ‘H’ is Special which excludes these.

Thanks mate, appreciate it.
So I can go ahead and book with travel agent. Would prefer direct booking on Emirates website but that always gives me two of five legs in 'Business Special (H)' and there seems no way to change it.

I saw your question about that on the other thread (and I cannot answer it). You could also call Emirates (assuming the cal centre has recovered from the recent problems). They should be able to help you too.

Does the local chauffeur company usually contact you a few days before the flight?

How do we find out which company is used for chauffeur?

Tks

Can someone tell what is the phone number of the BOM (India) Chauffer service so that we can contact them in case they don't arrive on time? Will be in a lot of anxiety in case we don't keep a Uber on standby and the Emirates chauffer car doesn't arrive.
