Refreshing post to get answers to #1 & #2 & adding question #3 -
3. Is Addison Lee still the company contracted in UK for CD? Thanks!

It certainly is for LHR and LGW but not sure if this is for STN, BHX, MAN, and GLA as well.
At times they use contractors when they can’t handle the demand. |
Anyone have the answers to these 2 please?
I'm travelling in/out LHR and I've booked the CD for both ends of the journey, but I have a couple of Q's (first time user of this service!). 1. Should I have received some form of email confirmation of the booking with pickup time, contact details etc.? 2. For the return leg I was not able to select a pick up time, it defaulted to the expected landing time, but the website says the driver will only wait 15 mins. We're unlikely to be through bag reclaim & passport control in 15 mins. How does this work? |

Not worth it in (outside of) BKK

It does but you have to keep calling until you find an agent who recognises that the itinerary is BKK-HKG-DXB not a solely BKK-HKG service.
This post from 7 years ago was spot on https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/27314473-post23.html They charged me 1200. |
Pattaya is 150km from Bangkok - hardly a "neighboring town".

Has anyone ever been picked up from Shanghai Hongqiao Train Station to be taken to PVG? I've got a pickup booked for the end of October but I think the train station is so huge that it could be a bit problematic, and my Chinese is non-existent! Any tips would be appreciated.

Yesterday, after I posted the message, I tried the Emirates app on iPhone and I was able to book it. The web browser mechanism on apple Mac (safari/chrome) seems to be toast. Thanks

Flying GLA-MEL in a week; have CD booked and can see everything in Manage your Trip, I presume it's still Addison Lee for GLA (subcontracted I think to West of Scotland Limousines) and they'll contact us the day before to confirm? GLA EK lounge was closed last time we flew but again presume it's up and running and hopefully as good as the previous time we used it. It's good to see the A380 is on this run and not the 777's of about 10 previous trips!
