Chauffeur drive at LAX with P/S
 

Hello all! Been having a hard time finding an answer here so hoping the community might know! I am flying LAX - DXB and want to book chauffeur drive from my home to the airport. However the drop off is prepopulated with TBIT, but I will be using Private Suite on my departure, anyone know if there is any issue for driver to drop off at this private terminal rather than the public one? Also, on my return I will also be coming through Private Suite…how would I ensure driver picks me up there? Thanks in advance everyone!

I don’t know about LAX/PS, but I’d book it and I once you get the confirmation, call the car service company and explain. Here in NY, it’s Blacklane and you can speak with them about the res.

Chauffeur has us in for a 5.20am pickup
 

Flight is at 9.20am. We are staying at festival city in Dubai which is probably a 20 min drive max. Any one have any good ideas as to why they want to get us that early. I kind of like my beauty sleep

I have an upcoming flight in F from BKK to DXB, via HKG.

In Bangkok, since I am going via Hong Kong (no stop over), do I not get Chauffeur Drive service?

This is the message I am being given by customer service. That because the routing is via Hong Kong, my itinerary does not qualify for a Chauffeur Drive service in Bangkok. However, if I was going from Bangkok direct to Dubai, the itinerary would qualify for Chauffeur Drive service.

It does but you have to keep calling until you find an agent who recognises that the itinerary is BKK-HKG-DXB not a solely BKK-HKG service.

Does anyone have any recent experience with Blacklane arriving in SEA. I’m looking to take one extra passenger (a colleague on same flight) in my car to the same hotel.

I’ve done this a long time ago at LHR with no issue, just wondered what the current policy is.

It certainly is for LHR and LGW but not sure if this is for STN, BHX, MAN, and GLA as well.
At times they use contractors when they can’t handle the demand.

No experience in SEA, but it has never been a problem for me at any other destination. And the same has been reported many times.
I don’t know if there is an official ‘policy’ for this.

Hello, is Flex Award able to have chauffeur service in Singapore?

I believe award tickets are no longer eligible for CD.

Effective 1 March 2019, new Chauffeur‑drive service reservations are not available in conjunction with Skywards Business and First Class Classic Rewards and Economy to Business Class Upgrades.

I saw but there are two types of awards? Flex plus and classic or I have mistaken?

As far as business class is concerned, yes there are two award types. The ‘Classic Award’ is the ‘real’ award and books into ‘D’ bucket. The Flex Plus award books into ‘O’ bucket, which is actually a revenue bucket (as revenue it is known as Business Saver). At least that is how I understand it.
Not sure if there is a similar situation with Y and F awards.
