Are the two class A380’s and B777’s included within the scope of the Premium Economy refurb programme?

Yes, but first the 3-class A380/777s

after she back from maintenance in Amman

Is there a reason why they are refurbing the EQ* frames which were already fitted with the Game Changer F and fully flat J before the ones that really need it the most?

Its the same as with the A380s.
I dont understand that too, you have so many outdated 777/A380s, especially the A6-ED*/A6-EB*/A6-EC* series

I'm also in the same boat! I know the three series of aircraft you mention are due for retirement fairly soon but if EK knew which of those aircraft they were still going to keep in the fleet for at least 4+ years, surely it would've been worth refurbishing these first so that all aircraft have a modern offering across the board, and in the case of the 777's, phase out a now non-standard and outdated product in the first generation ICE system?

Someone mentioned that the owned A6-EBx aircraft could be staying in the fleet for a few more years yet and C checks had been done on these aircraft recently. As a short term measure, surely seats and other equipment could have been recycled from younger aircraft which have now been withdrawn (e.g. the four A6-ECx 777's and older A380's) to give these aircraft a slightly more modern offering. I'm no aircraft engineer but my understanding is that this could have been done during a C Check where the interior gets stripped out anyway?

murtaza12 one slight correction on your excellent spreadsheet about the A6-EB’s cabin. Power sockets are available, but only 3 pin, shaver plugs, no USB’s are offered.
I did feel rather sorry for passengers flying on EK404/405 yesterday when I saw they had A6-EBM allocated to their flight. Not the kind of 777 you’d want for such a long journey especially with no USB’s and suitable plug sockets available!

Were the second generation ICE Panasonic ex3 screens launched on the 777’s from A6-ECA downwards? Or did the first few A6-ECx 777’s have the same interior as the EB’s?

Finally, A6-ECD hasn’t flown since August 15th when it returned from Cairo. Is this now undergoing end of lease maintenance or is it still in the active fleet?

Finally, A6-EET has returned from its long period in storage at DWC, flew back to DXB this morning as EK2551. Though it probably won’t be in service until the end of the year given it’ll probably need a C Check

Why? Are the plugs specific to one region (e.g., Europe or UK) and does not work with other plugs (e.g., US)?

When I don’t fly on a US airline, I usually keep one adapter in my personal bag specific to the region I’m vacationing.

The plugs on the A6-EBx 77W's I believe were US style plugs. I didn't bother using them on both my flights when I had one as I had a power bank.

Can confirm. Was amongst the 62k that inspected the undercarriage.

Can also confirm that Kiwis are flightless, and Springbok have few natural predators 😂😂.
