I hope that I am posting at the right forum... Please help move it to the appropriate thread.
I have 4 flights booked this Sept 2021. IAH DBX HKG return in C When I checked the seat maps, all 4 flights feature the old 2-3-2 seat configurations. I have read/seen C cabin in the 777-300ERs with the 1-2-1. Is it a route thing that they send old planes to ? to think that both IAH DBX , DBX HKG are pretty long haul. Help. Many thanks in advance. Keller281 The 77L is 2-2-2 with new J seat and the 77W is 2-3-2 with old or new seat. There are no 1-2-1 777's. They have sent a mix of old and new seat configured 77W to IAH historically. |
Is there any retirment plan for the older frames of the B77W? As I understand most of the A6-EB series have been retired / had their seats removed and are used as freighters. I recently flew on A6-ECC and the cabin was very much worn.

Double post, apologies

It is very up to date, even the final A380 delivery (A6-EVS on 16 December) is on there. Spoiler: the answer to your question is A6-EQH to EQP. |

Thanks, yep that was exactly what I was looking for and normally use that for reference but it appears to have been deleted from the Emirates Fleer Guide sticky.

Just noticed that today’s DXB-NCE is being operated by A6-ECA instead of the usual A6-EQH onwards yet on expert flyer, the seat map for today’s NCE-DXB is showing only 6 F suites. Is it possible that some of the older 77W’s have been retrofitted with the new F?

I booked EK204 JFK-DXB in late May, and I booked in the PE cabin. Right now it doesn't look like they are using the PE A380s on that route even though they marketed EK204 as the first US route to get PE A380s. I'm kinda scared I'll get downgraded now...

There are only 12 A380s with PE right now. None flying to US yet. They only fly to LHR, SYD, AKL, CHC and MEL as of right now.
EK mentioned several destinations to get PE in this article, however many of them still don't have PE. Not sure why EK is selling PE on JFK flights when they haven't started deploying it yet on any of the 3 daily flights. In fact, the article says EK204 will get PE in December, yet it's available for sale in May. |
