A6-EOD has received a new livery to promote Emirates's partnership with the NBA.

Also, A6-EUZ has returned to service for the first time in 4 years on the EK374/375 rotation to BKK

Now that the first older generation A380 received the refit (A6-EEW and EOI), have these planes also received a new IFE system, upgrade to at least 3rd generation ICE and new screens etc?

Hi, does anyone have any insight on BLR-DXB cabin and if the First class is worth spending points on? thanks!

JudeS Oct 24, 2024 1:26 am

In my opinion EK first is always worth spending points on regardless of "cabin". In this case it would appear to be a 380, in which case even more so..

The best way to use miles is for upgrades from business to first. And especially for itineraries that pass through but do not start or end in DXB, in order words multi-leg trips like JNB/DXB/AMS. As for cash tickets, use of miles is notoriously poor on DXB O/D flights.

What's happening with the A359s? It keeps getting pushed back at EDI - now January.

First time flying EK F BLR-DXB on 777 and had a few questions:
1) these will be the older suites, correct?
2) are there any restrictions to service or features given its a shorter 4hr flight? (i.e. no shower access, or lack of an unlimited item)
3) any other tips would be appreciated :D

Thanks!

777 does not have showers anyway. No amenity kits too.

EK doesn’t have amenity kits in F on 777s?

Amenity kits are not given out on short haul flights.

Got it, and I'd imagine PJs aren't either?
But "unlimited" food and beverage policy is retained on short-haul?

No flights have unlimited food. You'll get one meal and drinks.

Go to Manage My Booking -> What's on my flight on the website and you will find your menu etc. Looks like one meal (including caviar service). And drinks of course, wine list is also under there.
You can choose when you want that meal to be served. But on a short haul flight, I guess the flexibility is a bit limited.

Ah good to know - all the YouTubers say "unlimited caviar and champagne" but I should take that with a grain of salt :)

Champagne maybe unlimited as they typically carry enough and there is only so much one can drink; caviar definitely not.
