I've submitted appeals to Google to have them restored, last time it took them a few days to restore the links, so let's see how long it takes this time.

Meanwhile I will be searching for a new platform to host this on because Google doesn't bother looking in to their own ToS which I am supposedly in violation of, yet all it takes is one report for them to take down the links.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Edit: The original link (from 2018) was restored by Google, and I will leave that link in the wiki of this thread as a redirect tool to the active sheet. That way access to the sheet is a 2-step process, first the old link has to be opened, which will then let users be redirected to the currently working link (which can potentially keep changing). Mildly inconvenient but currently it's the only workaround I can come up with since there are no good online office suite alternatives.

Thanks again for all your efforts murtaza12. Always appreciated. I hope for the best that you’ll be able to find an alternative platform.

In the meantime I think A6-EQG is next to be refitted with PEY.

It would appear A6-EXC is very close to being delivered as it's currently showing on Flightradar as being parked near the delivery centre in TLS.

A6-EUH and A6-EUN have both been ferried to TEV. Interesting that they’ve sent two there at once. Are they both in for maintenance? They have also got repainting facilities there too

A couple days ago Emirates confirmed that they are going to upgrade even more A380s than planned before.

Can not post a link but it just google „Emirates 220 planes“

A few days ago A6-EON left the hangar.

It will take a little longer to convince Airbus to build the A380 NEO so until then the current A380 fleet needs to last ;)

As funny as it sounds, but the A380 is still just perfect for Emirates. Every flight I (Skywards Gold) have flown with them is fully booked.

So far only EK managed to successfully operate the A380 with some other exceptions that brought the plane back to their fleets. In future when airports and airspace will get to their limits the demand for a plane like the A380 will be there by significantly more airlines than in the past. Hence, the plane was launched +- 20 years to early with the only big exception EK.

Hey all, new poster here.

I'm planning MEL–DXB on Apr 28 in Y, and tossing up between EK405 and EK407. EK405 switches to non-stop from Mar 30 using the refurbished four-class 77W. EK407 remains the regular four-class A380.

I usually prefer EK's A380 for the wider seats, cabin width, quieter, etc in Y, but I'm tempted to try the refurbished 77W. Has anyone flown EK's refurbished four-class 77W in Y yet? How does it compares to the four-class A380, especially on seat comfort, cabin feel, IFE, overall pax experience, etc? Also, does Y class IFE on the refurbished 77W have Bluetooth connectivity?

Appreciate any insight, cheers!

Take 407 and the A380 without hesitation.

A6-EDF appears to be close to getting reactivated. Flightradar shows it having an engine run yesterday.
Was wondering if this was going to come back seeing as it’s been back at DXB without movement since the end of 2023, but mind you it could’ve been awaiting parts.

Starlink & Retrofit

I read Starlink is coming, not sure if the source is reliable.

Also, why does the retrofitting take so long? With the current figures of approximately 150 aircraft still to go and an average time of 37,5 days per aircraft which makes them roll out 20 updated cabins per year. It will take them another 8 years to complete the retrofit. With them upgrading newer aircraft before older ones it seems like these older aircraft would have been taken out of the fleet already anyway right?

Using the sheet as a source. Thanks for sharing btw.
