Any idea which US routes are operating with new J in November?

Is LAX really operating with angle flats?

It's been new J seats (lie flat) on a regular basis for LAX. Most routes get new J aside from BOS of late

Thank you for the info. The seat maps show 2-3-2 for LAX in November. Is this just an error?

Want to make sure I don't get 16hrs of angle flats before transferring amex points

New J is still 2-3-2. There is no way of seeing from the seat map if it is new J.
If is is new F as well, you can of course see it, but there are a number of 77Ws which have new J but still the 8 old F suites.

And be aware that the type of aircraft is NEVER guaranteed.

Thank you for the clarification.

Does EK ever use their old J product on the LAX route?

"Ever" is a big word, in this context. It is important to realise that of the 130 77W's in the fleet, only 21 have new J (of which 9 have new F as well).
Frames newer than and including A6-EPV (i.e. alphabetically after that one) are new J, EQH onwards have new F.

I don't have a paid flightradar24 subscription, so I can't look further back than 4 days. These were EPZ, EQG, EQF and EPZ again, so all new J / old F.
That's a very small sample, but 100% new J. I leave it to you to use statistical understanding to draw conclusions / make decisions. If you pay for a flightradar24 subscription, you can look back up to 3 years (for a business subscription). You van go back to long before Covid-19 at a price....

I personally have no problem with the very slight angle of the old product, but I have never been on a new J frame. Have been on plenty of A380's with flat beds, so I know what it feels (and in F on 77W and A380). But we all feel different about these things.

Appreciate the insight, don't fly EK often so I am unfamiliar with their fleet

I have flown the old J a couple of times on 4 and 7 hr routes and found it became uncomfortable after a couple hours.

Now I have to choose between booking the EK nonstop and hoping for the best, or sticking with AF J connecting through CDG.

You can in a roundabout way. Economy seating changed from EPV onwards too, from 304 to 306.

You can look up the registrations on FR24. EPV and onwards have the new J. Of course last minute swaps are always possible

Thanks for the answers. So when I see A6-EPX, that would be the new layout correct?
