Great photo - certainly looks medium rare at maximum to me.

That looks too rare for me. I usually enjoy medium.

It looks medium rare - sort of, but very poorly cooked. Looks as if it was way too cold when put on the fire. The very center looks red and cold, ie. rare. I'd send it back if I ordered it med. rare.

I wouldn't send it back.

Oh no, the outside is seared, and the middle, slightly warmed. ^

Maybe this is why I rarely ever select a steakhouse when choosing a restaurant, and almost never order steak in any restaurant.

Agreed - and I rarely order a steak at a restaurant. Any half-informed idiot (raises hand) can make a decent one at home.

Medium-rare if done just right, but as most places tend to over-cook your steak a little bit I often order just rare.

Topped with blue cheese, with a side of something carb laden and enjoyed with a beer:

"A beer"? Where did that second bottle cap come from!?!

Looks good. ^

I think I'd have put the blue cheese crumbles on and let is sit on the covered grill for just a bit to start the melt process on the cheese... Yummy!

Haha you caught me! Several beers were indeed consumed. Thanks for the cheese suggestion actually, I've been looking for a way to get the cheese to melt more to the steak and that sounds like a great suggestion.
