A Gates BBQ Burnt End sandwich. One of the foods that will be served at heaven's buffet :)
https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...da42af0beb.jpg I got excited when I saw 2 pack BBQ for $20, free shipping on their website. Only BBQ sauce, though. |

I used to love foie gras at Au Cheval, near Girl & the Goat in Chicago.
the sugar pie foie gras made me think of how the Au Cheval one was served with strawberry jam and toast. I never found a shop version of their strawberry jam. and nice bone marrow in the roasted meats dish! [Removed quote of and response to now-deleted post] |

so lucky about ease of travel there. I last drove into Canada in 2001 for a concert.
PS - would be perfect timing for that AC promo thing I signed up for. |

Yeah, my very first international trip was to Canada (Montreal, if I recall), and I didn't even have an ID yet. My Aunt just showed a copy of my birth cert, and that was it. Anyway, if that's what their serving there now, I need to revisit asap!

This was the foie gras course; I don't remember which is which, I'll have to look up my old Facebook post. Found it: "from left to right, traditional with chamomile jelly and apricot caviar; with mangalica ham, paprika and strawberry; with truffle, plum and dark chocolate; and lastly bruleed. I liked the traditional the best, unfortunately, at my waiter's advice, I ate it first." https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...a8713af0dd.jpg |

That brings memories of a foie gras extravaganza in Budapest in 2018.

We went to Liverpool House on Friday and I had to remind my husband that I do not eat cheval, lapin or any other animal that I've had as a pet.) |
