Too bad you don't live closer. I still have 4 5 gallon pails of refrigerated organic pears off our tree that I'm giving away to neighbors and friends, We can't eat 'em fast enough.

We've been hitting all of our favorite spots while back in Montreal. Last night was Liverpool House (oysters, fall salad, apple tart topped with ham and cheese, tomato stew, roast cabbage, halibut, filet prepared french onion soup style and topped with foie gras, semifredo, pumpkin pie and apple fritter), yesterday lunch was Lester's (medium smoked meat sandwich and fries), the night before was McKiernan's (can barely remember what we ate) and Snowden Deli for lunch.
Tonight is Pied Au Cuchon! Hoping we can squeeze in Beauty's for breakfast before we leave tomorrow but it will be tough. |

how was the roast cabbage? Any seasoning? I love Rotkohl and just sautéed green cabbage, partly because it’s cheaper than bok choy at a supermarket. |

I read your halibut with 4 toppings. It sounded a little over the top. Especially the pumpkin pie.
