This is an absolute winner! I made it tonight and it was gorgeous to look at and even better to eat. Delicious. And I am not normally a fan of deep dish pizza. I have never really liked it and much prefer Napoletana style. But this was awesome and I will definitely make it again.

A handful? lol. I ate one pear tomato today...the first one all week. I might have another cherry tomato by thursday.
Aren't tomatoes a fruit because they have seeds? |
BBQ steak, with fresh mango on top of sticky rice.

yummy - are you eating the mango with the steak? I always think of mango as a separate dish.

I love mango with sticky rice. Do you do it with the mung beans?

What’s the difference of Detroit style? Other than the shape, which kind of defeats the point of cooking it in a cast iron skillet?

There's a place here in Chicago that makes Detroit style, and I almost describe it as school cafeteria pizza. About an inch thick and doughy. I can't say what certainly how representative that is, but that's my take.
Actually, this pizza definitely is doughy but the crisp, caramelized edges are a nice contrast and it's very flavorful and the layer of cheese directly on top of the crust keeps it from getting soggy. |

I use a baking square for my Detroit pizza so it isn’t cast iron. Maybe I should try the cast iron skillet as it’s small so the dough ball should fit. I’m not yet making my own pizza dough. I buy multigrain frozen dough balls. $1.99 |
