Fresh shoyu ahi poke

Pineapple from the neighbor's garden

Lemon-poppyseed muffins

Ice cream with toffee bits

For dinner today, I made Italian Meatballs in a Roasted Tomato/Red Wine Sauce, served over fresh linguini.

Tonight's fare: Cooked over a keawe wood fire -- sirloin steak, along with sausage and chicken breasts in a Hoisin Ginger Shoyu marinade. Plus Mrs. cblaisd's homemade focaccia, dark chocolate mousse and blueberry-raspberry sorbet. Green salad with lettuce from the neighbor's garden.

That's a very appetising description, cblaisd.
Is your fire an oven of sorts, or more like a barbecue grill?
How hard would it be for Mrs B and me to cook similarly, when in Kauai in May? :)

I'd better arrange accommodation! Thinking of Waimea Plantation or a Poipu Beach cottage.

Dinner in Sydney:
Seafood platter comprised of oven-baked calamari, dory fillets and other assorted sea creatures!

T-Bone, grilled medium-rare. Just some salt and pepper. Yum.

Just a plain ol' Weber Kettle: http://www.weberbbq.com/bbq/pub/gril...g_ot_g225.aspx

Assuming you have an outdoor charcoal grill, you'll need to buy the meat, marinade (or ingredients to make) and charcoal or wood. Then go for it :)

Meatball subs and green beans.

I have already exhausted 3 of the acceptable options close by my lodgings this week. My requirements include a bar, since I can't buy a six pack at the grocery store or convenience store (guess what state  ).

Sunday: Chili's
Monday: Uno (met kipper for Pizza & Beer)
Tuesday: Buca di Beppo
Wednesday: Smoky Bones?
Thursday: Texas Roadhouse?
Friday: Sweet Home in Alabama!!!

Last night: Wings, burger and beer before attending a basketball game.

Tonight: A group dinner at the Bonefish Grill. This is my first time going to this chain. Does anyone have any menu recommendations? I'd like to eat something on the healthier side this evening after my meal of orgasmic debauchery last night!:)
Thanks.

Thanks.

You made a meal of orgasmic debauchery? What sides does it come with?

Just about to sign off to go cook up some bunny rabbit, potatoes, and brussel sprouts. Bye. ;)

Made the "Tyler's Ultimate" Chicken Enchiladas from Friday's episode tonight.

They came out pretty good, but the black beans didn't do so well. Still haven't figure out what went wrong, but I think they should have cooked much longer than the recipe called for.

Found a Chinese place that delivers in Waikiki! (You may not know this, but In NYC, you can get ANYTHING delivered. In HNL, practically nothing).

Anyway, decent enough Shichuan beef and really bad chow main is what I had. The lady had the fried chicken stuff with the orange sauce. I can't stand that stuff, but 99% of the earth's population seems to love it...

To drink we killed a bottle of La Crema pinot noir. Good enough.

Baked shark filets in rice with hoisin sauce
Maui Gold pineapple
Green salad
Crescent Rolls
Diet Dr. Pepper
M&Ms

I made a lovely spring salad and whole wheat pasta topped with chicken and a tomato sauce. (Mmmmm lycopene...)
