Yum! You know how to eat well! :)

Yesterday I made a chicken on a champagne sauce with artichokes and mushrooms, server with rice.

Today I made a peppercorn rib eye with a brandy sauce and oven roasted potatoes

They were good :)

I made a spinach and cheese omelette with 100% whole grain bread on the side. Followed by a handful of chocolate chip cookies. :)

Nice and easy, especially when you are way over-tired.

Thank you. :)

I don't post the nights that I have, say, a corn dog for supper. :D

Today Mrs. cblaisd made a wonderful pot of chili.

Had a bowl of that with hot corn tortillas.

And she also made oatmeal-chocolate chip-macademia nut-coconut cookies for dessert.

Oh my :)

The pork laulau and fried rice plate at The Kuhio Grill

Tacos de carne asada with guacamole, lettuce and cheese

Too bad I am sick and quite couldn't taste them

A couple black olives, a chocolate square and tostitas with salsa.

Then, a yummy salad - romaine, mushrooms, tomatoes, stuffed olives, carrots, red bell pepper, scallions with prepared organic Caesar dressing (not like the real thing, but pretty good anyway).

Then red lentils and rice with boiled egg, topped with sliced jalapenos, side of yogurt.

And a glass of chardonnay - Francia from a box. :D (decent, which is a surprise).

But the best is dessert:

A couple of these really, really tender, sweet, huge Medjool dates from a carton of them which I bought at the supermarket (sacrilege, I know  ) the other day - OMG, they are just soooo good!! Not cheap, but worth every penny.

goat cheese salad and a small, but tasty, steak with scalloped potatoes

Last night's was a wonderful corn-fed Iowa ribeye steak (thank goodness for folks who send really thoughtful Christmas gifts :) ) cooked over mesquite, homemade yeast rolls, salad, yet another tangerine from the neighbor's tree, and Dove Dark Chocolate Valentine Hearts for dessert.

Store bought salmon - sliced thin and served as sashimi with a side of Korean rice.
