Two slices of pizza leftover from last night. 1 - Greek with feta, black olives and onions. 2 - Supreme Deluxe with ham, pepperoni, sausage, bacon, green pepper, onion, tomato.
Reheated on a griddle.

Due to the pandemic, I've actually lost weight. Hoping to keep the trend going (safely)

A friend gave me some home made chicken salad that is really good (apples, raisins, almonds etc) and I had some Hawaiian rolls in the freezer so dinner for me was 2 chicken salad sandwiches (those rolls are very small) & it was delicious.

Well some of the multi course meals are tiny portions but I agree...there is a LOT of food sometimes. That kind of meal would maybe be once or twice a year if that. What gets me is the amount of sugar some people eat.

Personally I don't, but I just make a dish or two at a time unless I know I'm having guests (which hasn't been for a long time). I know in Singapore, you sweat it all out in a few hours if you don't have air conditioning (one time I went to an ex-colleague's office... maybe a 20 minute walk from the MRT station... by the time I got there, I had to change out of my shirt as it was drenched (luckily I was prepared for that). Literally I could sweat out a liter of water in a day there.

The snowflakes ( have 3 , other coasters & 2 lamps which might have been in photos with Advent Tea calendar post ) are wood by an artisan in his 70s , gaobest . He is rather talented and carved a canoe too , besides Japanese screens . Repairs antique clocks , record players and such . Amazing but somewhat cluttered workshop .
Yes , the humidity in Singapore is something else , was baking the past few days & wondered what happened to the NE Monsoon .. supposed to be cooler dropped to 21 C 😉 😂 briefly last year or perhaps in January . Then it thunderstormed & poured in the afternoon till evening . The poinsettias , etc are relieved too . Good thing it was not too heavy driving to dinner .
Losing weight too , 😊 , despite eating with a vengeance around the world while not having to use the passport .
This month , like now , was supposed to be inflight to SEA & YVR and / or potentially SFO after the Munich CHRISTmas markets were cancelled - just think no forest mushrooms , mulled wine - missing all those other CHRISTmas goodies and the cool .
So after skipping lunch , returned to Table at 7 , second time in 5 days . They serve Asian Indonesian cuisine and modern European fare .
Went the whole hog & had the CHRISTmas dinner set ( plus more
) . You get the drift from the photos ..http://tableat7.com/wp-content/uploa...-MENU-2021.pdf

Keropok

Tomato tartine

See the Roma tomatoes and burrata

Sup buntut / oxtail soup

Blue swimmer crab souffl

Foie gras

Rib eye steak with mushrooms and truffle mash

Supposed to be coconut ice cream but more like banana

Well .. chocolate souffl

CHRISTmas cookies

My father in law received a gift package of Omaha Steaks. Along with steaks, it contained three 4-packs of burgers and he gave us one. I will cook those tonight on the grill and serve with cole slaw and ranch beans.

A college friend was in town last night and getting a reservation on short notice for a group meant there were slim pickings but we managed to snag a table at Shaw's. ( I don't think any of us had been there in 20 years.) I had a really good chopped seafood salad, and just finished the leftovers for lunch.
