Yeah, it's great!

I particularly enjoy those days where I have nothing on the agenda and free to roam aimlessly wherever it may take me. During one of these (mis)adventures, I somehow ended up somewhere in Chinatown in a specialty Cantonese duck restaurant on the second floor of some mall where I had one of the top 5 roast ducks in my entire life. A bad habit I should endeavor to correct is my utter thoughtlessness at times, and should have either taken a photo of the restaurant's name or take one of their business cards.

Japanese food

Had some Japanese food with family members tonight.

Some ok sushi, and a nice bento box. A shrimp noodle stir fry was rather mediocre.

Sorry for the sideway pics.

Early dinner , ngoh hiang ( 5 spices ) brought by friends .. also mutton soup ( Chinese / Hainanese version ) to be enjoyed later . From a hawker centre towards the north .
The noodles were delicious and soft ( as they should be ) and those fritters were really crispy crunchy .. hit the spot
Quite a good selection chosen . Might have been more but forgot to ask , not sure what else was provided by the store . Probably homemade by the stall owners and not from some central kitchen , except the century egg .

More chocolate cake & a macaron for dessert

My initial plate with chilli & sweet egg white sauces on the side . Can t really see the egg whites here though

Spot the 2 strips of egg patty omelette . Added the liver rolls ( ngoh hiang )

Pickled ginger for the century egg ( pei dtan )

Hmm , enjoying .. what more was added ?

Added more yummy mee hoon ( thin rice noodles )

I made a 3 can tuna salad for today’s lunch (and the next two days).

Albacore, celery, onion, pickle relish, salt, pepper, paprika, Mayo.

Served on whole wheat bread today with romaine lettuce. Garnished with Villagio Marzano tomatoes.

Skip the celery and I'd love that.

The celery is more for crunch than flavor. Im not sure I really taste it, although there is a lot of it.
