Braised beef short ribs, Caesar salad, and a wonderful Bedrock old Vine Zin. A handful of trail mix for dessert.

I've also tried that one once. Ungodly sweet. Hard to tell what else is wrong with all that sugar in there. We actually rinsed the meat in a colander and re-seasoned it to salvage something.

Tonight it will be roast partridge, bread sauce and carrots followed by a blackberry crumble. Washed down with a 2010 Petit Bourgeois. Nice trad dinner for the first truly autumnal day.

arugula salad with grated pecorino romano, dried cranberries and a champagne/citrus vinaigritte.
Deconstructed pizza because the pizza from last night totally fell apart when I tried to reheat it. Crust was too soggy from tomato sauce.

Surely your kid didn't eat any of those things. Did he have a cheeseburger, pizza or french toast?

Zero supper for our child - no hunger due to snacking during a masked play date.

The boars head brand just says pumpkin pie hummus. It’s probably gone off by now but I look forward to trying that pumpkin spread. Ooh maybe today. Omg.

How does one snack while masked? And indeed, snack enough to spoil one’s supper without having the mask off for a lot of time thereby making it an unmasked play date? Sounds like there was a whole lotta unmasked time. Serious question as we do not wear masks where I live save for a few businesses that request it (Starbucks, Whole Foods etc).
