It’s Oreo-sized - just a tiny bit larger. The fro yo is great. Not cheap - it’s about $0.91/Oz and our 3 cups were just under $29 because I still try to portion-control my intake.

I would have called it Chinese spinach

I want steak. And I don’t feel like cooking it. I guess we’re going out.

It's 55 degrees here in Tampa and I got bored so I baked a ziti.

The bottom two were overflow that I'll take to a friend tomorrow.

My folks also picked up a pork butt today so I may have to smoke that tomorrow as I don't have freezer space

Thanks. I like the leaves as well. I usually try to stir fry it with bits of pork lard or salted fish and shallots. The stem is often sold here, but I've never actually tried cooking it before. Food prices are rising so it might be a good time to learn how to cook ingredients I've never tried before.

Its cold here. I don’t think the high got much over 50 so we went to the mall to walk. Afterwards, we crossed the highway and ate dinner at Outback. It’s not my favorite, but the decent steakhouse in town would have wanted reservations by Wednesday. Prime rib sandwich was actually tasty and it was happy hour so we got the 9 ounce cab for the price of 6 ounces. The au jus was delicious and loaded with onions.

Your food pics remind me that we need to get back to SIN for a few days soon. Hopefully this summer.

ETA: My bad -- I just realized I accidentally posted this in the dinner thread.

Avocado and poached egg on pumpernickel, and a piece of bacon. Mr. CE is usually the breakfast chef in the house and does a great job at it.

BTW, I can't remember which Chicagoan turned me on to Fresh Farms, but we took a drive to Abt today and stopped at the Fresh Farms in Niles...our first time at that location and definitely our favorite of the three. If only it wasn't also the furthest of the three! Oh well, we'll just have to kick our kitchen reno plans into higher gear so we have more reasons to go to Abt and Fresh Farms. (I'll post pics in the dinner thread if I remember, but Mr. CE is doing some kind of Korean short rib stew, so we also stopped at Joong Boo in Glenview. I went to H Mart last weekend and was excited to find that they sell onigiri, so was hoping Joong Boo would too but no such luck. That Joong Boo is such an upgrade from the city Kimball location, which I rarely make it to because I usually throw in the towel just trying to pull into the parking lot. We were planning to go to Patel Bros., too, but ended up skipping it. I love that we have such great ethnic grocery stores.)

This just rubs in that I went to 2 different Whole Foods today for short ribs and they were both out. I really wanted to make them tomorrow.
Today I ate an entire bag of shishito peppers. My kitchen stinks now.

Keep looking! They had them at both stores we went to today and I'm sure they were cheaper than WF.

I'm sad to say I forgot to take a picture of dinner. It was English style short ribs with daikon, carrot and potato in a great soy garlic ginger gravy served with rice and kimchi. Fantastic!

Ribs and chicken tonight. Grace had a few bites of chicken because she looked too sweet to resist.

Look at what my father in law did with Friday’s leftover chili. Those are the biggest chili dogs I’ve ever seen. There must be 2# of cheese on top. That’s not me in the picture, btw.

It's not enough. You need to add more. Although I would have those mounted on one of those taco stand thingies (yes, I'm precise with the naming) so you could properly place the cheese on there.
