It's 55 degrees here in Tampa and I got bored so I baked a ziti.

The bottom two were overflow that I'll take to a friend tomorrow.
My folks also picked up a pork butt today so I may have to smoke that tomorrow as I don't have freezer space

Update: veggie identified as celtuce (Wikipedia article), commonly called celery lettuce or Chinese lettuce. Good preliminary ID StuckInYYZ! We ate the leaves, but MIL says she also likes to make the stems if she can find them.

ETA: My bad -- I just realized I accidentally posted this in the dinner thread.
Avocado and poached egg on pumpernickel, and a piece of bacon. Mr. CE is usually the breakfast chef in the house and does a great job at it.
BTW, I can't remember which Chicagoan turned me on to Fresh Farms, but we took a drive to Abt today and stopped at the Fresh Farms in Niles...our first time at that location and definitely our favorite of the three. If only it wasn't also the furthest of the three! Oh well, we'll just have to kick our kitchen reno plans into higher gear so we have more reasons to go to Abt and Fresh Farms. (I'll post pics in the dinner thread if I remember, but Mr. CE is doing some kind of Korean short rib stew, so we also stopped at Joong Boo in Glenview. I went to H Mart last weekend and was excited to find that they sell onigiri, so was hoping Joong Boo would too but no such luck. That Joong Boo is such an upgrade from the city Kimball location, which I rarely make it to because I usually throw in the towel just trying to pull into the parking lot. We were planning to go to Patel Bros., too, but ended up skipping it. I love that we have such great ethnic grocery stores.)

I really wanted to make them tomorrow. Today I ate an entire bag of shishito peppers. My kitchen stinks now.

I'm sad to say I forgot to take a picture of dinner. It was English style short ribs with daikon, carrot and potato in a great soy garlic ginger gravy served with rice and kimchi. Fantastic!

Keep looking! They had them at both stores we went to today and I'm sure they were cheaper than WF.

Look at what my father in law did with Friday’s leftover chili. Those are the biggest chili dogs I’ve ever seen. There must be 2# of cheese on top. That’s not me in the picture, btw.

Although I would have those mounted on one of those taco stand thingies (yes, I'm precise with the naming) so you could properly place the cheese on there.
