I'm in Texas for a week. I've started eating one meal/day, with it being lunch, because I eat it and am stuffed for the rest of the day. Yesterday, I enjoyed various Mexican foods. Today, BBQ.

😅 Thank goodness ..
The lobster fondant was incredibly light and as you can see , carefully and intricately prepared , finished & plated.

Have added a couple more photos

Since travel for us is still not happening , it is going global , a lot , through meals 😉

Hey, that piece of macaroni is trying to escape!

Is that some sort of corn bread side?

LOL, it was trying to escape, but I corrected that.

It was what they called corn casserole. It was similar to cornbread but creamier.

Corn casserole/(e)scallped corn/baked corn/corn pudding, etc) was always a side at Thanksgiving at my house. There are as many ways to make it - creamed corn, Jiffy cornbread mix or different kinds of crackers, etc. - as it has names. I don't think it's a Texas thing any more than it's an anyplace else thing.

It was ribs and baby broccoli for breakfast today. Both from Imperfect Foods. First try of the air fry setting on the new to me toaster oven. Two thumbs up. The ribs were meh, no need to buy those again.
