Today .... I (we) have been eating ....
If I exercise regularly I lose. Nothing else I do makes much of a difference
|
We walk around an hour each day .... that's it!

It really isn't fair. You'd think that if you gave up wine for three weeks you'd lose a kilo a day - wouldn't you? :(
About to try the same myself :( Adey |
I calculate I've lost around 4 bags of sugar in 3 weeks.^

Dreadful stuff:
IHOP and Zaxby's. Don't ask. |
Took a day off work yesterday (Saturday) and cooked all day.
Breakfast: chorizo, egg and cheese burritos Lunch: Spicy beef tacos with salsa, sour cream and tomatoes, all homemade Dinner: Chicken fajitas mixed with peppers, rice, lettuce and sour cream Plus a sixer of Bohemia beer. It was a Mexican food themed day, obviously and it was amazing (also obviously!). |

Happens to be within walking distance of the hotel I've been staying at the last few trips. I'm the only one in our group that really likes hawker food. I can and usually do have it once every day. Once every week or two is plenty for the other folks. I don't mind taking the walk solo though.
Singapore is well organised but I wish they would provide Segways for people to use from the IC exit to Bugis escallators and from the train escallator area of Raffles MRT to Lau Pa Sat. Or perhaps a Hawker Train. Or something. Less effort - more eating. |

We must be barmy. We're now in Singapore for more than 30 nights per year and hawker food at least once a day. It is a major reason for our visits.

Hit a sports bar for lunch today and had some sliders and fries, nothing fancy. Then for dinner some of my Mexican leftovers. Made nachos with my leftover spicy beef (which is better after soaking in its own juices for a few days), cheese, lettuce, sour cream and salsa.

Breakfast: A cup of Great Grains cereal with milk
Lunch: An apple. Two $1 NY slices of pizza, with an avocado and red pepper as toppings Dinnert (because it was neither): Whole Foods honey roasted peanut butter, a cup of milk, a carrot. Where I am now, avocados are delicious and just a buck. Can't resist. |

A mode of transport just to visit hawker centres, eh? Try contacting Makan Sutra about this.
Oh, and I must be barmy too. How about a "Chew Chew Train"! :D |
I will be having whatever Delta are serving in their business first cabin MAN-ATL on DL65. Will report back later.

How about a "Chew Chew Train"! :D Sounds like a nifty idea; by the way, have you heard about the World Streetfood Congress? Personally, by the usual definition of street food, I don't think Singapore really has any. The occasional cart selling ice cream sandwiches by the durian theatres, otherwise it's all about the hawker centres. |
Okay okay I confess! I got some McDonalds coupons in the mail and I couldn't resist the Buy 1 Big Mac get 1 Free deal! :o
