I was feeling like soup for lunch today so I went to my local Whole Foods. I had a Guatemalan Chicken Soup (not sure what it was, except it had chicken and a lot of vegetables in it), a Raspberry Iced Tea and some sourdough bread. An excellent, excellent lunch made better by reading The New York Times and listening to music ^

Lunch was salt beef with pickles and English mustard in rye with latkes.
Supper was vodka and orange as a part of my 5 a day. One of those days when everyone wanted to argue and debate. :( |
I'm working at Duke University Hospital this week so I tried one of their cafeterias today. Had a chicken caesar salad wrap that was swimming in bad dressing and some halfway decent broccoli cheddar soup.
|
I had a "bad" weekend. Dinner tonight was a baked chicken breast and balsamic roasted vegetables. :)

Today .... I (we) have been eating ....
Passover dinner.
Horseradish, matza, chicken soup w/matza balls, pickled meat, schnitzel, various kugels and salads. Plenty of wine... |

Had shrimp cocktail from St Elmo's last night. The sauce haunts my dreams (because I have to go to Indy to have it)!
|
Supper: Torres Brandy and Pringles.

Today my work took me to a local volunteer fire station and they invited me to join them for lunch so I did. The bill of fare was Manwiches and tater tots. Apparently a big staple at Parkwood Volunteer Station #1. No complaints from me as it was free :D

Orange chicken and fried rice! My fortune said opportunity would knock soon.
|
Haddock in batter with chips tartar sauce and pickles. Hovis cut on the bias .... and a bottle of champers.
|
Crab and Lobster bisque that I just made, along with some stuffed cornbread (bacon and onions)
|
Lasagne and some deep deep red.
