3 for 3 yesterday:
- breakfast: bacon waffle with maple syrup
- lunch: leftover homemade Tandoori chicken and a small amount of rice; salad
- dinner: leftover lemon-garlic chicken taco from previous night's visit to a local Mexican place; black beans and rice on the side

Business expense? I thought I had been eating well lately but I can't even begin to describe how great that meal was. Words won't do it justice. Finished with a tour of the kitchen and got to meet the head chef. Just an incredible evening. Everyone should eat here at least once

Nothing too fancy, an omelet with sausage and cheddar cheese with some toast. I get a kick out of the sound it makes when I pour the eggs on top of the frying sausages.

NYC

Breakfast: Blueberry Flax cereal and Honey Nut O's cereal, milk, of a cow, banana

Lunch: Walker's Shortbread, Sourdough sandwich with provolone and habanero ham, from Fairway (a supermarket chain; my favorite part about them is the olive oil tasting section). A carrot, just remembered. Hot and spicy pickle rounds. Chocolate chips. Some odd blood orange-orange drink (normally those two things are great, but something's amiss in this 'un).

Dinner: Orecchiette with pesto, salad with walnuts and romano. Lemon-lime seltzer.

Fairly boring day:

Breakfast: Two pieces of toast, bowl of cereal, cup of coffee

Lunch: Went to Satisfaction, a nearby sports bar, and had a "Crash Davis" sandwich (PASTRAMI, HAM, SALAMI, RARE ROAST BEEF, TURKEY & PROVOLONE) and fries. I would have killed for a beer too but I was working

Dinner: More breakfast food, toast with scrambled eggs with cheese and hot sauce and some strawberry ice cream. Don't judge me, I was in a hurry

Tried this fancy chicken and waffles place here in Durham today (Dame's Chicken and Waffles). Had three wings (or actually, one wing with two for lunch tomorrow! ) and a blueberry waffle with apricot butter and some cheesy grits. Good but not great, probably not worth the $16 I spent. Still, new place tried.

Today, early lunch at a hawker stand at Whampoa in Singapore. My typical type of choice at a 'mixed vegie rice' place. Small amount of steamed rice, stir fried pork/with mushrooms, spicy tofu, lightly cooked bean sprouts, a green leafy vegetable of some sort, with a bit of curry sauce on the rice. SG$4.70

Dinner: (late night drunk food) Wonton soup with crispy roasted pork meat added. SG$ 4.00

Heading back home tomorrow for a BBQed NY strip, homemade potato salad and green salad w/blue cheese dressing.

Home made pizza for lunch.....the wife's not mine.

Despite my general dislike of pizza it wasn't too bad. I didn't ask for seconds though.

Welcome back! I'm having a nice Gevrey-Chambertin tonight and eating, nothing unfortunately. Maybe one day I'll update my own thread again

It really isn't fair. You'd think that if you gave up wine for three weeks you'd lose a kilo a day - wouldn't you?
