safeway club price is $1 at lowest so this $0.88 sale means I’m saving 12 pennies per box.

sure about the pennies! Every little counts. Plane tickets aren’t cheap :-)
the barilla thing was noticeable for people who buy boxed dried pasta - despite my past reliance on restaurants, I still have been cooking pasta for years so I’ve been pretty aware of grocery brands.

It keeps the sauce from soaking into the dough and making a soggy crust - a deep dish only problem.

lol...now we know your price!

Not to go too far off-topic, but I've never understood why people boycott because of CEOs. It seems to me that a CEO, with all the golden parachutes and severance plans, comes out fine even in the worst case, but potentially the thousands of employees struggling to make a living are hurt by a boycott. I'm not judging at all, but I've often wondered if boycotts don't have the opposite effect of their intentions.

If 12 cents/box is that important, perhaps spending a thousand extra on a red freezer was a bad decision.

If my math is correct, after 8,333 boxes of pasta, enough money would be saved to purchase a new freezer. Assuming from prior posts, Gao makes 2.5 boxes, on average, of pasta each day, that would be about 9 years...just when the current freezer craps out!

lol the red retro freezer is just so beautiful. Truthfully it wasn’t as much as a thousand... just can’t get enough! Use it nonstop.

Well, it would really be inefficient to turn it off between uses.

BTW, I agree about Barilla. Though, I did buy a box or two when it was difficult to find pasta during the shortages several months ago.

Very surprising indeed - when I lived in Italy, gay lifestyle was much more common and acceptable than here in the US!
