Better than average hotel breakfast at the Fairfield Inn Charlotte Uptown. Biscuit, cheese omelet, sausage and bacon plus halfway okay coffee.

Tried to get a quick lunch yesterday, so went to Denny's and had a Superbird sandwich w/o Tomato and a side of hashbrowns. This was the best Superbird I have eaten in a while with the Cheese just melted right and the bacon really crispy. BYW, in and out in 25 minutes.

What's cooking

Food is, in my humble opinion, one of the joys in life and I reckon it deserves it's own thread.

Feel free to add recipes, cooking successes and failures, basically anything to do with food!

Tonight I am cooking a chilli. Not a spicy chilli as my daughter won't eat it.

I'll fry off some minced beef and onion. Add teaspoon of mild chilli powder, teaspoon of cumin, teaspoon of paprika, teaspoon of marjoram, 2 crushed cloves of garlic, tube of tomato paste, can of chopped tomato. Let it all simmer for a bit and then spoon into crispy skinned jacket potato.

YUM!

[Removed response to now-deleted posts]

As for me, I think I may make a pork chop with mushroom sauce tonight.

I think I’d have broken that into multiple courses with water in between to cleanse the palate.

Red potatoes, sliced and fried in olive oil. Two jumbo eggs scrambled. Iced coffee with almond milk. Raisin English muffin.

Used my Arizona lemons for a lemon loaf with a lemon glaze. Served it with fresh whipped cream.

Wild Berry Pop Tarts and Coffee. I actually had a 9 AM appointment so no leisurely cooked at home breakfast like I've become used to the last few weeks.
