Leftover Chinese food that frankly had not aged well :(

Had Gus's fried chicken for lunch, and then jambalaya for dinner.

Did a bit of a meat tour of New York for my birthday today:

Lunch was the Black Label Burger at Minetta Tavern. As I reported on the burger thread, was not impressed.

Dinner was chicken, Kreutz' sausage, pork rib, coleslaw and mac n cheese at Hill Country BBQ which was fantastic. Given BA's new interest in American food, they should perhaps send someone here for ideas.

Ah what a coincidence, I went to The Pit in Raleigh and had a plate with pulled pork and fried chicken plus creamed corn and mac and cheese for lunch.

Definitely a fan of Hill Country. Their brisket is great.

I've been laying low lately but I will be headed to the old faithful for lunch today, Benatieri's out here in College Point Queens.

One of my better omelet fold jobs too. Gave me the energy I needed to read a Scalia opinion

This was my followup Facebook status:

If Scalia is for it, I'm against it. I don't care if Justice Scalia wrote an opinion affirming the tastiness of sandwiches, I would disagree with it just because he wrote it.

Used what I had left from yesterday to make a prosciutto and Muenster baguette. Incidentally, the 365 Degree organic yogurt I got from Whole Foods is not very good, especially for the price.

Norwich, CT (early bird dinner @ historic downtown, tired of hotel/convention food is blah !!) Actually, it was a nice find & surprisingly good - fresh, basic & simple. Last stop was ... Baskin Robbins :D before getting on I-95.
