I was lucky to find some more Bell's Hopslam and am very content, what a fine beer.

Lancaster Hop Hog.

Mr. Kipper and I have frequented our local Cheddar's (they just built it) twice in the past week, not so much because the food is anything spectacular, but in large part because we've decided it is our civic duty to ensure their supply of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is rotated regularly. :)

One St. Arnold Endeavor, labeled as being an IPA2, whatever that means. I suppose it to be very hoppy from the two kinds of hops being used to make it. We will know soon enough. :D

IPA = India Pale Ale & I assume IPA2 means doubled. A hoppy beer transported better back in the day on the long voyages to India, hence IPA.

You'll taste the hops :D

Yes, I was familiar with IPA and all that, but the 2 part kind of through me. Could be double-strength or some way to indicate they used two kinds of hops in the brewing process. :)

Currently down in LA, so I have access to Total Wines - let's see, some Green Flash ale that was alleged to be dry hopped with Amarillo (and clearly isn't), some Pike's Naughty Nellie, Hanger 24's oak-aged Russian Imperial Stout, Anderson Valley's Brother Dave's Double and my regular Rogue Brewing Dead Guy.

Just got back from a couple weeks beachfront in St Augustine, Fl, where the beer was Kona Brewing's Longboard lager - tried some local brews but found them pretty bland (not that Longboard is a flavor burst, it's just good hot weather beer). In hot, humid weather I like really cold beer and it's pretty much a beer sin to ice anything but a lager. Of course, in hot humid weather I also like various types of rum punch (WITH fruit and little umbrellas and plastic monkeys), so I seem to lose my taste buds in hot weather....

So, I popped the cap on this one last night and it is very good. I'm not one to rush out and buy overly-hopped beers, but I found this one to be comfortable to drink despite the extra hops.

Also, I was wrong...they use three different hops - Simcoe, Centennial, and Columbia. I would put it as twice as hoppy as their regular Alyssa IPA, so that's probably where they get the IPA2 from.

during a hot summer day while outside in the sun, I don't know anyone that can drink beer after beer of most of the beers discussed in this thread. Personally when on a lake or boat, our group of friends drink a LOT (me too unless I'm captain/driving), we normally drink Miller Lite or PBR if drinking from 10am until 2+am.
