Friday’s beer. Called All Together. It’s a collab by local craft breweries throughout the US to benefit the hospitality industry.
This is our local brewery Civil Society. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...ec0d9a96b.jpeg |
Ordered some beer from a microbrewery in upstate NY (Equilibrium Brewing) that is coming via mail. 24 cans of triple IPAs, along with a handle of an imperial stout. Very excited. Also will have to maintain portion control. :D

A store I visit rather unregularly, surprised me yesterday with having 13 bottles of Chimay Cinq Cents, from Pères Trappistes. That's an upper level of the Chimay Blanc Tripel, but with champagne-ish like corks and with storage potential.
Memo to self : Stop by soon again |
Gave into to the weekly local tradition of supporting local restaurants with take-out meals and thanks to relaxed liquor laws due to COVID added a few Blonde Ale beers from local brewery Sea Change Brewing. It may cost a little more but it's darn good beer.

To paraphrase the Dos Equis guy, I don't often drink beer, but tonight I'm having a Portland Pale Ale by Lone Pine Brewing. They are a recent addition to the Portland brewing scene, and I like them a lot!

Portland, Oregon has a well deserved craft beer history so assumed that was where your beer was brewed until I looked and saw it was from the other Portland. How big is the Portland, ME craft beer scene?
As far as beer goes, there are maybe 20-30 breweries in Portland and within a few miles of the city? I'm really not sure. I remember reading somewhere that Portland, ME has the most breweries per capita of any city in the US...ah, it was CNN. I also seem to remember reading the same about restaurants per capita. It's a great destination if you want to spend a few days eating, drinking, and walking around...and you can drive 40 mins to a few hours and be in the mountains. It's really a gem, and we love living here...aside from the fact that there are only about 4 months of the year you want to be outside. :-/ |

Tonight it's more Brewhouse as the local liquor store has 8-pack cans on sale for CAD$9 incl tax so hard to go wrong for that price. The laptop is working well and so am enjoying the cold ones on my patio after a nice warm Spring day on our Victoria Day long weekend. :) |
Enjoyed a couple of Stone Delicious IPA with grilled salmon today. The citrusy aroma and taste married well with the fish.

We have NODA Blood Orange Gose (decent), NODA Radio Haze IPA (good) and New Belgium Hemperor HPA (also decent) at home right now.
