Some restaurants are still open for dine in at ATL so yesterday I was able to enjoy my first draft beer in two weeks, a Tropicalia by Creature Comforts Brewing. Apparently it's the number one selling IPA in Georgia right now.

Allagash White in the 16oz cans. Love the new can format vs. the traditional bottle.

A few of the beer places in Durham are still offering curbside pickup of growlers (in addition to cans/bottles). Beer Durham and Glass Jug specifically have a solid selection across the board.

Indeed. There's a place across the street from my office called Crafts and Drafts (they're like wine and paint but with beer) that's doing the same. I'm trying to support them right now even though selection isn't as good there. Beer Study on University is doing curbside too and their selection is great.

The private chain ABC in Florida was offering 10% off beers brewed in-state so I stopped in to take a look. Walked out with the following:
Twisted Strawberry Fest - Tampa Bay Brewing’s strawberry and lime fruited golden ale Quat - Tampa Bay Brewing’ s award winning seasonal fruit ale loaded with pulverized kumquats. A favorite of mine from last year. Drinks like a hazy IPA, but actually a golden ale. Oceanside - Tomoka Brewing out of Lakeland; a white IPA brewed with grapefruit. Last Buffalo in the Park - Funky Buddha imperial porter aged in barrels with coconut and coffee. $22 for 22 ounces. I think I paid $30 for a crowler a couple years ago. Nice to see it in bottles. I passed on a $28 bottle of Funky Buddha Morning Wood, an imperial porter aged in bourbon barrels with coffee and maple syrup. I let them chill overnight. Dinner was salmon so I opted for pinot grigio and a shot of limoncello afterwards. Tonight should be fun. Maybe I’ll order a pizza. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...fe9f68ca9.jpeg |
Four cans that with tax and a 25% tip were $14 from Glass Jug Beer Lab in Durham:

Brewhouse. I opted for quantity over quality while self-isolating.

New seasonal offering from my favorite local, Fat Heads. The Benjamin Danklin IPA is not as hop forward as their regular IPA offering (Head Hunter), but this was defiantly enjoyable 👍 |
Stocked up the last day before the quarantine went into effect. Currently drinking Sapporo, Alaska Amber & Saint Archer Blonde Ale. I thought I had enough on hand to get through the quarantine but looks like this is going to last a while so I may need to pay another visit to the warehouse. Even without sports I feel like the current times call for beer and not vino.
